Abstract

The entropy properties of the light field of coupled identical Λ-type three-level atoms interacting with vacuum field in cavity filled with Kerr medium were investigated by means of quantum theory. The time evolutions of the entropy of the light field were discussed via the initial state of the system, detuning, coupling coefficient between the atoms, and the Kerr coefficient.Numerical calculation results show that the evolution of the entropy of the light field exhibits periodic oscillation, and its frequency and amplitude are intensively dependent on the initial state of the system. When the detuning the oscillation amplitude decreases with the increases of coupling strength and Kerr coefficient.

Field entropy properties of coupled identical V-type three-level atoms interacting with vacuum field in cavity filled with Kerr-like medium

Wang Zhi-jian

The entropy properties of field in the system of coupled identical V-type three-level atoms interacting with vacuum field in cavity filled with Kerr-like medium are studied by means of quantum theory. The time evolution of entropy of field via the initial state of the atomic system, coupling coefficient between the atoms and Kerr coefficient are discussed.Numerical calculation results show that when the ground state and excited state of atoms are in appropriate superpositions state, the entropy of field is behaving periodic oscillation. The oscillation frequency and amplitude are depending on the coupling constant between atoms and the third-order nonlinear coefficient of Kerr-like medium. Therefore, the entropy of field is very sensitive to the atomic initial state.

Atomic information entropy properties in Kerr medium based on coupled T-C model

You Liang-fang

The information entropy properties of the coupled V-type three-level atoms interacting with the coherent field are studied by means of quantum theory.Numerical calculation results show that the average photon number in the initial state plays an important role in the time evolutions of the atomic information entropy. When the average photon number in the initial state is large, the time evolution of the atomic information entropy exhibits apparent collapse and revival phenomenon. The amplitude of the excited state in the initial state, the coupling constant between two atoms, the detuning and Kerr coefficient make significant influence on the time evolution of the atomic information entropy, respectively.

Dynamics of entropy and nonclassical properties of the state of a Λ-type three-level atom interacting with a single-mode cavity field with intensity-dependent coupling in a Kerr medium

Mohammad Javad Faghihi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, we study the interaction between a three-level atom and a quantized single-mode field with 'intensity-dependent coupling' in a 'Kerr medium'. The three-level atom is considered to be in a Λ-type configuration. Under particular initial conditions, which may be prepared for the atom and the field, the dynamical state vector of the entire system will be explicitly obtained, for the arbitrary nonlinearity function f(n) associated with any physical system. Then, after evaluating the variation of the field entropy against time, we will investigate the quantum statistics as well as some of the nonclassical properties of the introduced state. During our calculations we investigate the effects of intensity-dependent coupling, Kerr medium and detuning parameters on the depth and domain of the nonclassicality features of the atom–field state vector. Finally, we compare our obtained results with those of V -type three-level atoms.

Quantum Properties of the Field in the System of Coupled V-type Three-level Atoms Interacting with Coherent Field in Kerr Medium

李可 Li Ke, 令维军 Ling Weijun

The quantum properties of the light field in the system of two coupled V-type atoms interacting with coherent field in Kerr medium were studied. The solution describing the dynamics process of the system was gained by means of the coupled Tavis-Cummings model in quantum optics.Influences of the initial state, the detuning of the field, the coupling strength of dipole-dipole interaction between atoms and Kerr coefficient on the second-order correlation function and the squeezing parameter of the field were discussed.Numerical calculation results show: when the average photon number of the field in the initial state is smaller, the field exhibits apparent quantum effect;when the probability amplitude of the excited states of the atoms in the initial state changing from small to large, the anti-bunching effect of the field becomes more obvious, but the squeezing depth increase at first and then decrease;the detuning changing create small influence on the quantum properties of the field, its changing only change the oscillating period of the second-correlation function and the squeezing parameter of the field;the increasing of the coupling strength between the atoms weaken the anti-bunching effect of the field and make the squeezing depth become shallow;the increasing of Kerr coefficient enhances the anti-bunching effect of the field, but makes the squeezing depth become shallow.

Entanglement in the system of a V-type three-level atom interacting with the two-mode odd-even entangled coherent field in Kerr medium

Zou Yan

The quantum reduced entropy properties of a V-type three-level atom interacting with the two-mode odd-even entangled coherent field in Kerr medium are studied by means of quantum theory. The effects of the Kerr medium's coupling constant, the detuning, mean photon numbers of the fields on the entropy are discussed. The results show that the coupling strength of Kerr medium with the field influences the frequency of the entropy. The maximum values of entropy evolution decreases with the increasing of the detuning, meanwhile the frequencies increase, and the needed time to get the maximum value from the initial value zero is longer. When the mean photon numbers are too less or too more, the maximum values of entropy oscillation are much smaller.

Entanglement of a general formalism Λ-type three-level atom interacting with a non-correlated two-mode cavity field in the presence of nonlinearities

A.‐S. F. Obada, A. A. Eied, G. M. Abd Al-Kader

We investigate the evolution of the atomic quantum entropy and the atom–field entanglement in a system of a Λ-configuration three-level atom interacting with a two-mode field with additional forms of nonlinearities of both the field and the intensity-dependent atom–field coupling. With the derivation of the unitary operator within the frame of the dressed state and the exact results for the state of the system we perform a careful investigation of the temporal evolution of the entropy. A factorization of the initial density operator is assumed, considering the field to be initially in a non-correlated two-mode squeezed coherent or binomial state. The effects of the mean photon number, detuning, Kerr-like medium and the intensity-dependent coupling functional on the entropy are analysed.
