Frequency/energy-time hyper-entangled photon pair generation based on a silicon micro-ring resonator

We propose and demonstrate a scheme to realize frequency entanglement based on a silicon micro-ring resonator. The generated photon pairs also possess the property of energy-time entanglement. So hyper-entangled photon pairs are generated.

Hyper-entangled photon pairs from single quantum dots

Geng Chen, Chuan‐Feng Li, Zhen−Qiang Yin +3 more

We propose a scheme to generate hyper-entangled photon pairs from single quantum dots (SQDs). Single photons emitted by SQD are manipulated to be entangled after post-selection. Crucially, exciton fine-structure splitting, which was previously deemed undesirable in similar schemes, is used here to produce photon pairs entangled in both frequency and polarization degrees of freedom. This hyper-entangled two-photon state is potentially more powerful than a normal entangled state for quantum state engineering and quantum information processing.

Photon Statistics Analysis of Entangled Photon Pairs via Biexciton Resonant Hyper-Parametric Scattering

Yasufumi YAMAMOTO, Goro Oohata, K. Mizoguchi

We have investigated the quantum statistics of entangled photon pairs generated from biexcitons in CuCl single crystals via resonant hyper-parametric scattering. The generation of multi-photon pairs has been first observed under the high excitation power.
