Angular Momentum of Supersymmetric Non-isotropic Traps

Abstract

A simple way to explain quantum behavior of supersymmetric non-isotropic traps is proposed in the framework of semiunitary formulation of supersymmetric quantum mechanics. Using semiunitary formulation we can simultaneously supersymmetrize the complete set of observables, especially including angular moment.

Superpartner systems and semiunitary transformations in supersymmetric quantum mechanics

Jian-zu Zhang A B, Xin-Zhou Li, Jiu-An Zhang +1 more

It is shown that in supersymmetric quantum mechanics the superpartner Hamiltonian ${\mathit{H}}_{+}$ is related to the Hamiltonian ${\mathit{H}}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ by a semiunitary transformation. The properties of the semiunitary transformation are discussed. \textcopyright{} 1996 The American Physical Society.

Supersymmetric quantum mechanics defined as sesquilinear forms

Harald Grosse, L. Pittner

A formulation of supersymmetric quantum mechanics in terms of sesquilinear forms is presented. Otherwise occurring rather complicated domain questions are solved in a simple and natural way. The authors formulate the axioms and describe a number of models. Supersymmetry transformations are implemented as superunitary transformations in a space defined over a Grassmann algebra, generalised Bogoliubov transformations acting in that space are also formulated.

Angular Momentum of Supersymmetric Cold Rydberg Atoms

Jian-zu Zhang A B

Semiunitary transformation is applied to discuss supersymmetrization of cold Rydberg atoms. In the limit of vanishing kinetic energy the lowest angular momentum of the supersymmetric cold Rydberg atom is $3\ensuremath{\Elzxh}/2$. A possible experimental verification is suggested.

On the convergence of the WKB series for the angular momentum operator

Luca Salasnich, F. Sattin

In this paper we prove a recent conjecture about the convergence of the WKB series for the angular momentum operator. We demonstrate that the WKB algorithm for the angular momentum gives the exact quantization formula if all orders are summed. Finally, we discuss the supersymmetric semiclassical quantum mechanics (SWKB), which gives the correct quantization of the angular momentum at the leading order.

Supersymmetric classical mechanics

Georg Junker, Stephan Matthiesen

We study the classical properties of a supersymmetric system which is often used as a model for supersymmetric quantum mechanics. It is found that the classical dynamics of the bosonic as well as the fermionic degrees of freedom is fully described by a so-called quasi-classical solution. We also comment on the importance of this quasi-classical solution in the semi-classical treatment of the supersymmetric quantum model.
