Probing Bell Diagonal State without Disturbing Its Correlations

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a very simple scheme to probe the quantum and classical correlation including quantum entanglement of Bell diagonal state. In the probing process, the correlation of Bell diagonal state, even the state itself, is not disturbed, which means a non-destructive probing. In addition, our scheme can be performed even though the two qubits of the Bell diagonal state are separate in space.

Nondestructive identification of the Bell diagonal state

Jiasen Jin, Chang‐shui Yu, He‐Shan Song

We propose a scheme for identifying an unknown Bell diagonal state. In our scheme the measurements are performed on the probe qubits instead of the Bell diagonal state. The distinct advantage is that the quantum state of the evolved Bell diagonal state ensemble plus probe states will still collapse on the original Bell diagonal state ensemble after the measurement on probe states; i.e., our identification is quantum state nondestructive. How to realize our scheme in the framework of cavity electrodynamics is also shown.

Generation and read-out of many-body Bell correlations with a probe qubit

Marcin Płodzień, Jan Chwedeńczuk

As demand for quantum technologies increases, so does the need to generate and classify non-classical correlations in complex many-body systems. We introduce a simple and versatile method for creating and certifying entanglement and many-body Bell correlations. This method relies on a single qubit interacting with an $N$-qubit system. We demonstrate that: (i) such pairwise interaction is sufficient to induce many-body quantum correlations, and (ii) the qubit can serve as a probe to extract all information about these correlations. Thus, single-qubit measurements reveal multi-partite entanglement and $N$-body Bell correlations, enabling the rapid and efficient certification of non-classicality in complex systems.

Entanglement of Bell Diagonal States Induced by Quantum Channels

Varsha Sambhaje, Suprabhat Sinha, Anju Chaurasia

Bell states are special sets of entangled states that serve as a foundation for the corresponding Hilbert space. Being the maximally entangled states, they have significant importance in the field of quantum information theory. Among the mixed two-qubit state space, a highly intriguing limited class of states is the Bell diagonal states. Despite their inherent simplicity, Bell diagonal states exhibits a diverse range of correlations. In this paper, we explore the behaviour of Bell diagonal states under different quantum channels to pursue the geometrical illustration of quantum correlations leading to the entanglement. We propose the convex combination of distinct Bell states to prepare the Bell diagonal states. The whole class of Bell diagonal states is generated and entanglement is simulated throughout each parameter space and compared to the theory.

Probing quantum entanglement, quantum discord, classical correlation, and the quantum state without disturbing them

Zhenni Li, Jiasen Jin, Chang‐shui Yu

We present schemes for a type of one-parameter bipartite quantum state to probe quantum entanglement, quantum discord, the classical correlation, and the quantum state based on cavity QED. It is shown that our detection does not influence all these measured quantities. We also discuss how the spontaneous emission introduced by our probe atom influences our detection.

Quantum correlation swapping between Bell-diagonal states

Chuanmei Xie, Senbo Tian, Zekai Xie +2 more

Abstract Quantum correlation (QC) swapping is a generalization of quantum entanglement swapping, in which the concerned QCs can be quantum entanglement, QC beyond quantum entanglement, or both of them. In general, QC swapping is different from quantum entanglement swapping. Obviously, the study range of the former is beyond than the latter, and the former can give more interesting and significant applications in quantum information processings. So far, QC swapping has been studied explicitly only for a rather limited set of two-qubit quantum states as the initial states and cases for more general QC swapping with multi-parameter initial states are not known. In this article, we explore the QC swapping case with three-parameter Bell-diagonal (BD) states as the initial states. The familiar QC measure, quantum discord (Ollivier and Zurek 2001 Phys. Rev. Lett. 88 017901), is utilized to quantify all the QCs in the concerned states. It is found that a long-distance shared QC can be acquired through the BD-initial states case of QC swapping. Moreover, some distinct features and characteristics can be exposed.
