Abstract

This paper investigates the entanglement in an XX -type spin chain with Dzyaloshinskii—-Moriya interaction under an external magnetic field. The von Neumann entropy of entanglement between two blocks for the ground state of the system is evaluated. It analyses and discusses the scaling behaviour of the entanglement entropy.

Multipartite entanglement in the XXZ model with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and external fields

L.S. Lima

Abstract In this paper, we investigate the quantum entanglement on spin-1/2 one-dimensional XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) together with staggered and uniform magnetic fields on x and z directions, respectively. We use the well known mapping of this model on the sine-Gordon theory to calculate the quantum entanglement quantifiers as von Neumann entropy and entanglement negativity, which provides a useful framework for studying the emergence of quantum correlation in this model. How the behavior of the spin velocity implies in a significant impact on energy of elementary spinons excitations carrying spin S z = ±1/2, since that the DMI interaction and external fields generate a large effect on behavior of the spin velocity, we get a large influence of these coupling on quantum correlation what implies in an effect on development of quantum technologies based on this spin system.

Entanglement of two blocks of spins in the critical Ising model

Paolo Facchi A, Giuseppe Florio, Carmen Invernizzi +1 more

We compute the entropy of entanglement of two blocks of $L$ spins at a distance $d$ in the ground state of an Ising chain in an external transverse magnetic field. We numerically study the von Neumann entropy for different values of the transverse field. At the critical point we obtain analytical results for blocks of size $L=1$ and 2. In the general case, the critical entropy is shown to be additive when $d\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\infty}$. Finally, based on simple arguments, we derive an expression for the entropy at the critical point as a function of both $L$ and $d$. This formula is in excellent agreement with numerical results.

Analysis of entropy of XY Spin Chain

Fabio Franchini, Alexander Rudol'fovich Its, Bai-Qi Jin +1 more

Entanglement in the ground state of the XY model on the infinite chain can be measured by the von Neumann entropy of a block of neighboring spins. We study a double scaling limit: the size of the block is much larger then 1 but much smaller then the length of the whole chain. In this limit, the entropy of the block approaches a constant. The limiting entropy is a function of the anisotropy and of the magnetic field. The entropy reaches minima at product states and increases boundlessly at phase transitions.

Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions effects on the entanglement dynamics of a two qubit xxz spin system in non-Markovian environment

Georges Collince Fouokeng, Martin Tchoffo, Edwine Tendong +1 more

We investigate the exact entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, interacting with an anisotropic spin bath in thermal equi- librium at a temperature T, driven by an external magnetic field B along the z-axis. We establish that, for an initially entangled qubit pair, the DM interactions generate entanglement and enhance the entanglement in the revival region. The effects of the DM interaction are also seen to be very important at high temperatures and for weak coupling between the two qubits where it is seen to preserve entanglement. These effects are weakened when the magnetic field B and the Heisenberg coupling are switched on. If the two-qubits are prepared in an initially separable state, the DM in- teraction instead has a negative effect on their entanglement. On a whole entanglement can better be preserve in the spin chain even at high temperatures by increases the external magnetic field B and the Heisenberg couplings, and by tuning the strength of the DM interaction.

Phase diagram of spin-1 chains with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Hugo Tschirhart, Ernest Teng Siang Ong, Pinaki Sengupta +1 more

We investigate an antiferromagnetic spin-1 Heisenberg chain in the presence of Dyzaloshinskii-Moriya interactions (DMI) and an external magnetic field. We study the resulting spin chain using a combination of numerical and analytical techniques. Using DMRG simulations to determine the spectral gap and the entanglement spectrum, we map out the phase diagram as a function of magnetic field strength and DMI strength. We provide a qualitative interpretation for these numerical findings by mapping the spin-1 chain on a spin-$1/2$ ladder and using a bosonization approach.
