Abstract

By analysing the action of a beamsplitter on squeezed vacuum states(SVSs),it is found that,if the two input light beams of the beamsplitter have the same squeezing amplitude and phase, the output state is a two-mode SVS,If the two input light beams of the beamsplitter have the same squeezing amplitude but a phase difference of π,the output state is a direct porduct state of two single-mode SVS.Based on these results,we propose to distill a maximally entangled SVS from a partially entangled SVS by using a 50/50 beamsplitter and photodetectors.

Entanglement Diversion of Entangled Squeezed Vacuum State

Naosheng Qiao

By analyzing the action of a beam splitter on squeezed vacuum states (SVSs), it is found that, if the two input light beams of the beam splitter have the same squeezing amplitude and phase, the output state is a two-mode SVS. If the two input light beams of the beam splitter have the same squeezing amplitude but a phase difference of π, the output state is a direct product state of two single-mode SVSs. In the two-mode SVS, each mode has the same photon number with both even and odd photons, while the single-mode SVS which contains only even-number photon in the photon number-state representation. Based on these results, a scheme to divert the entanglement of entangled SVS from its initial locations to another location is suggested. In this scheme, the two SVSs are utilized as the quantum channel. The process of the entanglement diversion is achieved by using the 50/50 symmetric beam splitters and the photon detectors with the help of classical information.

Entanglement Manipulation for a Two-Mode Squeezed Vacuum State

Qingping Zhou, Mao-Fa Fang, Xiaojuan Liu +2 more

By numerically analysing the entropy of entanglement of the output state from a Mach–Zehnder interferometer for the two-mode squeezed vacuum state input, it is found that if the internal phase shift of the interferometer is adjusted to the value of 0 or π, the entangling characteristic of the input state is efficiently preserved at the output. If the internal phase shift is tuned to the value of π/2, the two-mode squeezed vacuum state is completely disentangled at the output of the setup. If the internal phase shift deviates from the above values, the input state is degraded into a partially entangled output state. Based on these results, a method for optically realizing the entanglement preservation, entanglement degradation, and disentanglement via the interferometer is obtained.

Entanglement and disentanglement from cascade beam-splitter for squeezed vacuum state inputs

Qingping Zhou, Mao-Fa Fang, Xiaojuan Liu +3 more

Properties of the entanglement at the outputs of a cascade beam-splitter are investigated for two single-mode squeezed vacuum state inputs. It is shown that the entanglement depends on the squeezing amplitudes of the input states and the reflection coefficients of the cascade beam-splitter and the composite phase shift Δ between the cascade beam-splitter and the input fields has a great effect on the entanglement. In particular, the properties of the entanglement of a cascade beam-splitter differ from those of only one beam-splitter. A further method for manipulating entanglement by adjusting the parameters of the cascade beam-splitter and the input fields is proposed.

Quantum Teleportation of Superposition State for Squeezed States

Xin-Hua Cai, Le‐Man Kuang

This paper proposes a scheme for teleporting an arbitrary coherent superposition state of two equal-amplitude and opposite-phase squeezed vacuum states (SVS) via a symmetric 50/50 beam splitter and photodetectors. It is shown that the quantum teleportation scheme has the successful probability 1/4. Maximally entangled SVS's are used as quantum channel for realizing the teleportation scheme. It is shown that if an initial quantum channel is in a pure but not maximally entangled SVS, the quantum channel may be distilled to a maximally entangled SVS through entanglement concentration.

Quantum teleportation of entangled squeezed vacuum states

Cai Xinhua

An optical scheme for probabilistic teleporting entangled squeezed vacuum states (SVS) is proposed. In this scheme, the teleported state is a bipartite entangled SVS and the quantum channel is a tripartite entangled SVS. The process of the teleportation is achieved by using a 50/50 symmetric beamsplitter and photon detectors with the help of classical information.
