Abstract

The entanglement at zero-temperature is studied in a two-qubit XZ spin-1/2 chain model in an external magnetic field which is applied in the z direction. We have obtained an analytical relation for the effect of the external magnetic field on the concurrence. It is shown that the ground state of the system depends on the strength of exchange coupling. We have shown that the analytical relation of the concurrence is independent of Jz. It is shown that for Jz >0 the concurrence is depended on the critical value of the external magnetic field and it is changed at the critical external magnetic field. Also we have shown that for h hc, the concurrence decreases by increasing the external magnetic field. For Jz <0, the concurrence decreases by increasing the external magnetic field.

THERMAL ENTANGLEMENT IN THE TWO-QUBIT HEISENBERG XYZ MODEL

Gustavo Rigolin

We study the entanglement of a two-qubit one-dimensional XYZ Heisenberg chain in thermal equilibrium at temperature T. We obtain an analytical expression for the concurrence of this system in terms of the parameters of the Hamiltonian and T. We show that depending on the relation among the coupling constants, it is possible to increase the amount of entanglement of the system by increasing its anisotropy. We also show numerically that for all sets of the coupling constants entanglement is a monotonically decreasing function of the temperature T, proving that we must have at least an external magnetic field in the z-direction to obtain a behavior where entanglement increases with T.

Pairwise Entanglement in the Four-qubit Heisenberg XX Open Chain

Wanqiang Cao

The pairwise entanglement in the four-qubit Heisenberg XX open chain with external magnetic fields is calculated, and the analytical expressions for the measures of entanglement Concurrence are obtained. It is found that the entanglement between the boundary qubits can reach the value of 0.28 in the system with uniform external magnetic fields. In addition,in the Heisenberg XX model with external magnetic fields on the two boundary qubits, the two non-boundary qubits will be in the maximal entanglement by increasing the magnetic field at low temperature.

Thermal and ground-state entanglement in the two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XY spin chain under an inhomogeneous magnetic field

D. Tian

We study the entanglement of thermal and ground states in the Heisenberg XY spin chain with an inhomogeneous magnetic field.A general result is found that for two-qubit case, pairwise entanglement is independent of the sign of coupling constant J,magnetic field B,anisotropic parameter γ and inhomogeneous parameter b of the magnetic field. At zero absolute temperature,an analytical expression of concurrence C is given through which we show that the critical magnetic field Bc increases with the increase of inhomogeneity. At finite temperature,we show analytically for the isotropic case and numerically for the anisotropic case that the thermal entanglement can be apparently enhanced by introducing the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field. We also show that for isotropic case the critical temperature Tc is alone an increasing function of the inhomogeneous parameter b,while for anisotropic case,it is determined by both B and b.

Thermal negativity in a two qubit XXX and XX spin chain model in an external magnetic field

M Ghasemloo, N Nikdel, Mohammad Reza Soltani +2 more

In this paper we studied the thermal negativity in a two-qubit XX spin ½ chain model and XXX spin 1/2 chain model(isotropic Heisenberg model)spin-1/2 chain subjected to an external magnetic field in z direction. We calculate analytical relation for the thermal negativity for two qubit XX and XXX spin chain models in the external magnetic field. Effects of the magnetic field and temperature on the negativity are shown. We have also plotted two kind of behavior in the thermal negativity which scales by magnetic field and temperature. It is shown that when the magnetic field along in axis z is considerable, thermal negativity can be decrease for higher temperature. We found the critical temperature of negativity for XX spin chain model and XXX spin chain model with added external magnetic field where there are independent from magnetic field. We also have shown in both of two models after T=TC the negativity is zero. We find the critical temperature for this models and show that the critical temperature is independent of magnetic field. We found that the negativity with increasing the temperature T, at first the quantum correlations in the system increase, smoothly reaches the maximum, and then after the critical temperature turn into zero.

Entanglement of a Five-Qubit HeisenbergX XChain in a Magnetic Field

Min Cao, Ling Yin-Sheng, Zhu Shi-Qun

We calculate the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a five-qubit isotropic Heisenberg model in an external magnetic field, and give analytical results for the concurrence of two nearest-neighbor qubits. A magnetic field can eliminate degeneration and change the ground state of the system. Therefore increasing the value of the magnetic field can induce entanglement in a certain range both for the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic case.

Effects of Different Spin-Spin Couplings and Magnetic Fields on Thermal Entanglement in Heisenberg XYZ Chain

Da-Chuang Li, Zhuo‐Liang Cao

The effects of spin-spin interaction on thermal entanglement of a two-qubit Heisenberg XYZ model with different inhomogeneous magnetic fields are investigated. It is shown that the entanglement is dependent on the spin-spin interaction and the inhomogeneous magnetic fields. The larger the J i (i-axis spin-spin interaction), the higher critical value the B i (i-axis uniform magnetic field) has. Moreover, in the weak-field regime, the larger J i corresponds to more entanglement, while in the strong-field regime, different J i correspond to the same entanglement. In addition, it is found that with the increase of J i , the concurrence can approach the maximum value more rapidly for the smaller B i , and can reach a larger value for the smaller b i (i-axis nonuniform magnetic field). So we can get more entanglement by increasing the spin-spin interaction J i , or by decreasing the uniform magnetic field B i and the nonuniform magnetic field b i .
