Abstract

We construct a new bipartite entangled state (NBES), which describes both the squeezing and the entanglement involved in the parametric down-conversion process and can be produced using a symmetric beam splitter. Constructing asymmetric ket—bra integrations based on the NBES leads to some new squeezing operators, which clearly exhibit the relationships between squeezing and entangled state transformations. Moreover, an entangled Wigner operator with a definite physical meaning is also presented.

New tripartite entangled state generated by an asymmetric beam splitter and a parametric down-conversion amplifier

Liyun Hu, Hong-Yi Fan

In three-mode Fock space we construct a new tripartite entangled state |α, γ⟩ θλ which makes up a new quantum mechanical representation. The state |α, γ⟩ θλ can be generated by using the set-up composed of an asymmetric beam splitter and a parametric down-conversion amplifier. We then show how to use |α, γ⟩ θλ to find new squeezing operator and new squeezed state.

Entangled state representation for describing both squeezing and entanglement involved in the parametric down-conversion process

Hong-Yi Fan, Nian-Quan Jiang

By constructing a new orthogonal-complete quantum mechanical entangled state representation, we show that it can provide us with a combinative view of both squeezing and quantum entanglement involved in the parametric down-conversion process. The two-mode Wigner operator in this representation is also found.

A generalized two-mode entangled state: Its generation, properties, and applications

Kaimin Zheng, Shiyou Liu, Haoliang Zhang +2 more

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators we construct a generalized two-mode entangled state, which can be generated by an asymmetrical beam splitter (BS). Some important properties of this state, such as orthogonality and Schmidt decomposition, are also discussed by deriving the expression of BS operator in coordinate representation. As its applications, to conjugate state, obtain operator identities, generate new squeezing operators (squeezed state) are also presented. It is shown that the fidelity of quantum teleportation can be enhanced under certain case by using the asymmetrical new squeezed state as entangled resource.

Continuum variable entangled state generated by an asymmetric beam splitter

The generating entangled state by using a 50/50 beamsplitter has been discussed in the literature before . In this paper we explore how to use an asymmetric beam-splitter to produce a new kind of entangled state. We construct such kind of states theoretically and then prove that they make up a complete and orthonormal representation in two-mode Fock space. Its application in finding new squeezing operator and new squeezed state is introduced.

An entangled squeezed state generated by an optical parametric amplifier and a beam splitter

Gang Ren, Chunzao Zhang

Abstract We propose a method to generate an entangled squeezed state using an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and a beam splitter (BS). This device can manipulate the output quantum light field by modulating two parameters: the intensity of the OPA and the transmittance of the optical BS. For the output quantum state associated with a symmetric BS, there is no quadrature squeezing. Moreover, neither photon correlation nor entanglement are observed. However, in terms of sum squeezing, the quantum state corresponding to the symmetric BS is the strongest. Therefore, an asymmetric BS and a highly squeezing OPA are the best choices for generating the quantum entangled squeezed states.

The construction, properties and applications of a new bipartite coherent-entangled state in the two-mode Fock space

Xiang‐Guo Meng, Ji‐Suo Wang, Bao‐Long Liang

Using the technique of integration within an ordered product (IWOP) of operators, we find a new kind of bipartite coherent-entangled state (CES) that exhibits both coherent state and entangled state properties. The set of CESs makes up a complete and partly nonorthogonal representation. Using an asymmetric beamsplitter we propose a simple experimental scheme for producing the CES. Finally, we present some new quantum states related to the CES and some applications of the CES to quantum optics.
