Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit entangled state coupled with its noisy environment, and plan to utilize weak measurement and quantum reversal measurement to study the entanglement dynamics under different decoherence channels in noninertial frames. Through the calculations and analyses, it is shown that the weak measurement can prevent entanglement from coupling to the amplitude damping channel, while the system is under the phase damping and flip channels. This protection protocol cannot prevent entanglement but will accelerate the death of entanglement. In addition, if the system is in the noninertial reference frame, then the effect of weak measurement will be weakened for the amplitude damping channel. Nevertheless, for other decoherence channels, the Unruh effect does not affect the quantum weak measurement, the only exception is that the maximum value of entanglement is reduced to √2/2 of the original value in the inertial frames.

Protecting quantum coherence in an open system under non-inertial frames

Longfei Wang, Ming‐Ming Du, Liu Ye

In this paper, we explore the dynamics and protection of quantum coherence in an open system under non-inertial frames by weak measurement and reversal, and design four strategies to protect the quantum coherence of an initial two-qubit entangled state, when the systems suffer from amplitude damping (AD) channel and one subsystem is under non-inertial frames. In practice, there is no strict inertial frames, decoherence and degradation of the quantum coherence caused by the Unruh effect form acceleration will have a significant interaction, therefore it is important to find some means to protect quantum coherence under non-inertial frames.

Open quantum systems in noninertial frames

Salman Khan, M.K.R. Khan

We study the effects of decoherence on the entanglement generated by the Unruh effect in noninertial frames by using phase flip, phase damping and depolarizing channels. It is shown that decoherence strongly influences the initial state entanglement. Entanglement sudden death can occur irrespective of the acceleration of the noninertial frame under the action of phase flip and phase damping channels. It is investigated that an early sudden death occurs for large acceleration under the depolarizing environment. Moreover, entanglement increases for a highly decohered phase flip channel.

Protecting the entanglement of two-qubit over quantum channels with memory via weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal*

Meijiao Wang, Yun- Jie Xia, Yang Yang +4 more

Based on the quantum technique of the weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal (WMR), we propose a scheme to protect entanglement for an entangled two-qubit pure state from four typical quantum noise channels with memory, i.e., the amplitude damping channel, the phase damping channel, the bit flip channel, and the depolarizing channel. For a given initial state | ψ 〉 = a| 00 〉 + d| 11 〉, it is found that the WMR operation indeed helps to protect entanglement from the above four quantum channels with memory, and the protection effect of WMR scheme is better when the coefficient a is small. For the other initial state | ϕ 〉 = b| 01 〉 + c| 10 〉, the effect of the protection scheme is the same regardless of the coefficient b and the WMR operation can protect entanglement in the amplitude damping channel with memory. Moreover, the protection of entanglement in quantum noise channels without memory in contrast to the results of the channels with memory is more effective. For | ψ 〉 or | ϕ 〉, we also find that the memory parameters play a significant role in the suppression of entanglement sudden death and the initial entanglement can be drastically amplified. Another more important result is that the relationship between the concurrence, the memory parameter, the weak measurement strength, and quantum measurement reversal strength is found through calculation and discussion. It provides a strong basis for the system to maintain maximum entanglement in the nosie channel.

Entanglement dynamics of a qubit-qutrit system in non-inertial frames

Muhammad Asif Ramzan

The effect of decoherence on a qubit-qutrit system under the influence of global and multilocal decoherence in non-inertial frames is investigated. It is shown that the entanglement sudden death (ESD) can be avoided in non-inertial frames in the presence of dephasing and bit-trit phase flip channels for entire range of decoherence. However, ESD behaviour is seen for higher level of decoherence in case of phase flip and bit-trit flip channels. Irrespective of the entanglement degradation caused by the Unruh effect, no ESD occurs for the dephasing environment. Furthermore, flipping channels have approximately similar effect on the entanglement of the hybrid system.

Dynamics of Measurement-Induced Disturbance for a Qubit-Qutrit System in Noninertial Frames

Hao Yuan, Lian-Fu Wei

We investigate the dynamics of measurement-induced disturbance (MID) for a qubit-qutrit system in noninertial frames under various multi-local decoherence channels (i.e., dephasing, phase-flip, bit-(trit-) flip, bit-(trit-) phase-flip, and depolarizing channels). We find that, for any acceleration, the MID can decay in a monotonic way to zero or to a nonzero steady value (i.e., residual MID exists). Consequently, no sudden death of the MID occurs, which is different from entanglement.

Protecting high-dimensional entanglement from decoherence via quantum weak measurement and reversal

Kun-Hong Feng, Yu‐Chi Chen, Ping Zhou

High-dimensional quantum communication plays an important role in long-distance quantum communication. It is shown that two-qubit quantum entanglement can be protected from amplitude damping decoherence. We study the effect of amplitude damping decoherence on two-qubit high-dimensional quantum entanglement. The negativity for high-dimensional quantum entanglement with or without quantum weak measurement and the reversal in amplitude damping decoherence are presented. We found that nonmaximally entangled state may have better performance than maximally entangled state in amplitude damping decoherence. Moreover, we show that arbitrary high-dimensional quantum entanglement can be protected from amplitude damping decoherence by weak measurement and the reversal. The results of our protocol are in agreement with previous analysis for the case of qubits and qutrits.
