Abstract

Some schemes for the entanglement generation of two and three distant cavity-fields and the distant transfer of a qubit atomic state and atomic entangled state are presented. The realization of entanglement swapping without measurement on Bell basis vectors and the operation of swap gate are proposed. These schemes are all based on Λ-type atoms interacting with bimodal under one-photon detuning and two-photon resonance. Finally, a discussion of experimental feasibility is given.

Entanglement swapping without joint measurement via a Λ-type atom interacting with bimodal cavity field

Lin Xiu, Hongcai Li, Rong‐Can Yang +1 more

This paper proposes a scheme for realizing entanglement swapping in cavity QED. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of a two-mode cavity field with a Λ-type three-level atom. In contrast with the previously proposed schemes, the present scheme is ascendant, since the fidelity is 1.0 and the joint measurement isn't needed. And the scheme is experimentally feasible based on the current cavity QED technique.

Entanglement swapping between atom and cavity and generation of entangled state of cavity fields

Ai-Xi Chen, Li Deng

This paper proposes a scheme where entanglement swapping between atom and cavity can be realized. Λ-type three-level atoms interacting resonantly with cavity field are considered. By detecting atom and cavity field, it realizes entanglement swapping between atom and cavity. It uses the technique of entanglement swapping to generate an entangled state of two cavity fields by measuring on atoms. It discusses the experimental feasibility of the proposed scheme and application of entangled state of cavity fields.

Realization of quantum SWAP gate and preparation for entangled coherent state based on optical microcavity

Shi-Qing Tang

Based on the cavity quantum electrodynamics (CQED), we propose two schemes for realization of basic quantum information processing tasks, i.e., constructing a quantum SWAP gate directly and preparation for entangled coherent states. In the present paper, we show that the quantum swap gates of photonic qubits can be implemented only by one step with a three-level Λ-type atom trapped in a bimodal optical cavity. The purpose for the direct construction of swap gates is to save a great many quantum resources in practical quantum information processing and reduce the number of required unitary operation. For the latter, we obtain the entangled coherent states via the large detuning interaction, in the process of the unitary evolution of dressed states. This scheme provides a suitable cavity QED to prepare quantum entanglement for researchers, and provides a wider horizon for the generation of quantum entanglement based on cavity QED, which, to some extent, possesses reference value and guiding effect in the experiment, and the quantum entanglement can be used for the potential application in the quantum information and quantum communication in the future.

Feasible schemes for quantum swap gates of optical qubits via cavity QED

Deng-Yu Zhang, Shi-Qing Tang, Xin-Wen Wang +2 more

Feasible schemes for implementing quantum swap gates of both coherent-state qubits and photonic qubits are proposed using a Λ-type atomic ensemble trapped in a bimodal optical cavity. In both protocols, the decoherence from atomic spontaneous emission is negligible due to the fact that the excited states of the atoms are adiabatically eliminated under large detuning condition and the swap gates can be created in a single step. In our schemes, the required atoms—cavity interaction time decreases with the increase of the number of atoms, which is very important in view of decoherence. The experimental feasibilities of the schemes are also discussed.

A simple scheme is presented for generating four-photon entangled states with interaction between a three-level atom and two bimodal cavities. In the proposed protocol, the quantum information is encoded on Fock states of the cavity fields. The detection of the atom can collapse the cavity made/wave function to the desired state. The experimental feasibility of our proposal is also discussed.
