Abstract

Under the non-rotating wave approximation, the quantum evolution of entanglement property of a two-qubit and oscillator coupling system is accurately investigated by the method of coherent-state orthogonalization expansion. The property of the ground state for qubit-oscillator system and the difference between qubit-oscillator entanglement and qubit-qubit entanglement when resonant vibration occurs are discussed. The calculation results show that when the external field is not taken into consideration, the qubit-qubit entanglement reduces from 1 to 0 rapidly with the increase of coupling strength, indicating the strong sensitivity of the entanglement to the coupling strength. On the contrary, with the increase of the coupling the qubit-oscillator entanglement rises from 0, but does not reach the maximum value 2. At the beginning, when the two qubits do not entangle, the vacuum field does not lead to the entanglement in weak coupling. However, the strong coupling can induce the sudden appearance of the entanglement.

Entanglement evolution of a two-qubit system with decay beyond the rotating-wave approximation

杨青, Yang Ming, 李大创 +1 more

The entanglement property of two identical atoms, initially entangled in Bell states, coupled to a single-mode cavity is considered. Based on the reduced non-perturbative quantum master equation method, the entanglement evolution of the two atoms with decay is investigated beyond the conventional rotating-wave approximation. We show that the counter-rotating wave terms, usually neglected, have a great influence on the disentanglement behaviour of the system. The phenomena of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth will occur. In addition, we show that the entanglement can be strengthened by introducing the dipole-dipole interaction of the two atoms.

Use strong coupling strength to coherently preserve quantum entanglement

Tian, Guihua, Shuquan Zhong

The dynamics of two qubits ultra-strongly coupled with a quantum oscillator is investigated by the adiabatic approximation method. The evolution formula of the initial four Bell states are studied under the control mechanism of the coherent state of the quantum oscillator. The influential parameters for the preservation of the entanglement are the four parameters: the average number of the coherent state, the ultra-strong coupling strength, the ratio of two frequencies of qubit and oscillator, and the inter-interaction coupling of the two qubits. The novel results show that the appropriate choice of these parameters can enable this mechanism to be utilized to preserve the entanglement of the two qubits, which is initially in the state |I_0> of the four Bell states. We give two different schemes to choose the respective parameters to maintain the entangled state |I_0> almost unchanged. The results will be helpful for the quantum information process.

Entanglement of a qubit coupled to a resonator in the adiabatic regime

Giuseppe Di Liberti, Rosa Letizia Zaffino, Franco Piperno +1 more

We discuss the ground state entanglement of a bi-partite system, composed by a qubit strongly interacting with an oscillator mode, as a function of the coupling strength, the transition frequency and the level asymmetry of the qubit. This is done in the adiabatic regime in which the time evolution of the qubit is much faster than the oscillator one. Within the adiabatic approximation, we obtain a complete characterization of the ground state properties of the system and of its entanglement content.

Concurrence evolution of two qubits coupled with one-mode cavity separately

Weici Liu, Wang Fa-Qiang, Ruisheng Liang

The concurrence evolution of two qubits coupled with one-mode cavity separately is investigated exactly without adopting the rotating-wave approximation. The results show that for the resonant case, the concurrence evolution behaviour of the system is similar to that of the Markovian case when the coupling strength is weak, while the concurrence vanishes in a finite time and might revive fractional initial entanglement before it permanently vanishes when the coupling strength is strong. And for the detuning case, the entanglement could periodically recover after complete disentanglement. These results are quite different from those of system subjected to Jaynes–Cummings model.

Dynamics of quantum entanglement in two time-dependent coupled harmonic oscillators

Ayoub Ghaba, Radouan Hab-arrih, Elhoussine Atmani +1 more

We investigate the quantum entanglement dynamics of two coupled harmonic oscillators with a time-dependent interaction. Using the Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant method, we derive the exact analytical wave functions without any perturbative or adiabatic approximations and combine this with a phase-space analysis using the Wigner function to provide a complete description of the system's quantum state evolution. We obtain general expression form for the purity and the linear entropy $S_L=1-\mathcal{P}$ for arbitrary excitation numbers $(n,m)$, allows a systematic study of entanglement for a large class of quantum states. We show that the entanglement dynamics is very sensitive to the interplay between the detuning parameters $θ$ and $\vartheta_2$, the frequency parameter $β_0$ and the coupling strength $ε$: the increase of detuning takes the system from slow irregular oscillations to fast and regular periodic behavior, and the stronger coupling systematically enhances both the amplitude and the average value of the linear entropy. Most importantly, for the resonance case $ω_1=ω_2=1$ and strong couplings $ε\approx 0.99$, the system shows robust undamped synchronized periodic oscillations of the linear entropy for all quantum states considered, indicating preserved quantum coherence without saturation. Our findings demonstrate that linear entropy is a sensitive and practical entanglement witness, and we establish explicit analytical relations between the coupling parameters of the system and its entanglement properties, which are directly relevant to quantum information processing and the control of quantum correlations in continuous-variable systems.
