Evolution of Quantum Teleportation Circuits with Improved Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

Quantum Teleportation is the process of transmitting Quantum information from one place to another by performing Quantum mechanical operations like entanglement, Bell measurement and classical communication.Unlike the commonly used term teleportation, Quantum teleportation involves only transfer of information rather than particles or objects.Quantum teleportation allows transmission of quantum information despite the impossibility of measuring or broadcasting the information to be transmitted. This paper evolves some new simpler Quantum teleportation circuits which use only Quantum entanglement and a set of Hadamard and CNOT gates.Further, each of the circuits performs teleportation even if Alice does not perform measurement on her qubits.Keeping the feasibility of physical realization in mind, circuits using only adjacent CNOT gates along with Hadamard gates have also been constructed. All these circuits have been evolved using Genetic Algorithms which has been designed with appropriate representation and search operations towards faster convergence.

Teleporting Away

Abdulrahman A Agha

Teleporting Away: Understanding Quantum Teleportation Quantum teleportation is a fundamental protocol in quantum information science that enables the transfer of an unknown quantum state between distant parties using shared entanglement and classical communication. Despite its name, it does not involve the physical transportation of matter, nor does it allow information to travel faster than light. This article introduces the principles behind quantum teleportation through an accessible explanation of its key components, including qubits, quantum entanglement, the Hadamard gate, and the controlled-NOT (CNOT) gate. It then develops the protocol mathematically, following the process from the preparation of an entangled Bell pair to Alice's measurement and Bob's subsequent quantum-state correction. The article also examines common misconceptions surrounding quantum teleportation, particularly its relationship with faster-than-light communication and the no-cloning theorem. Finally, it explores potential applications in emerging quantum technologies, including quantum networks and distributed quantum computing. Written for readers beginning to explore quantum computing and quantum information, this article aims to bridge conceptual understanding with mathematical reasoning. Keywords: Quantum teleportation; quantum computing; quantum information; quantum entanglement; Bell states; quantum gates; quantum networks; distributed quantum computing.

Application Of Genetic Algorithms For Evolution Of Quantum Equivalents Of Boolean Circuits

Swanti Satsangi, Ashish Gulati, Prem Kumar Kalra +1 more

Due to the non- intuitive nature of Quantum algorithms, it becomes difficult for a classically trained person to efficiently construct new ones. So rather than designing new algorithms manually, lately, Genetic algorithms (GA) are being implemented for this purpose. GA is a technique to automatically solve a problem using principles of Darwinian evolution. This has been implemented to explore the possibility of evolving an n-qubit circuit when the circuit matrix has been provided using a set of single, two and three qubit gates. Using a variable length population and universal stochastic selection procedure, a number of possible solution circuits, with different number of gates can be obtained for the same input matrix during different runs of GA. The given algorithm has also been successfully implemented to obtain two and three qubit Boolean circuits using Quantum gates. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the GA procedure even when the search spaces are large.

Experimental realization of quantum teleportation algorithm via electrical circuits

Osman Ceylan, Emine Canan Günay Demirel, İhsan Yılmaz +1 more

Quantum teleportation is one of basis study of quantum computing algorithms mostly used in quantum communication. This algorithm has so far been implemented using a variety of quantum realization models. In this study, quantum teleportation algorithm is realized experimentally using classical LC circuits. In addition, electrical simulation of some quantum gates such as Hadamard and CNOT gates used in algorithm are also given. The importance of implementation of such quantum algorithms onto classical electrical circuit is that it is being inexpensive and can work at room temperature. This study can contribute greatly to the experimental teaching of the emerging quantum technology revolution to students.

Taro Yabuki, Hitoshi Iba

We propose a method to apply genetic algorithms to the quantum circuitdesign. We show by experiments that without any deep knowledge of the problem it is possible to evolve a circuit for the quantum teleportation simpler than ever known.

Optimizing quantum teleportation circuit using genetic algorithm

Fei Peng, Guangjun Xie, Tianhao Wu

This paper applies a standard genetic algorithm to the optimization of the quantum circuits. We propose a new coding scheme, which encodes quantum gates as integers and stores circuit topology information in the position of the integers. The design of the corresponding fitness function and genetic operators are also discussed. The quantum teleportation circuit, a typical quantum computation process, is chosen as our optimization target. Finally, the experiment results are discussed, and an optimized teleportation circuit has been obtained.

Quantum Information Transmission Using CNOT Gate

Ankit Sharma, Manisha J. Nene

We are at the dawn of quantum era; research efforts are been made on quantum information transmission techniques. Properties of quantum mechanics poses unique challenges in terms of wave collapse function, No cloning theorem and reversible operations. Quantum teleportation and quantum entanglement swapping based architecture are utilized to transmit qubit. In this paper we propose an approach to transmit qubits using controlled NOT gate (CNOT) gates and implement it on quantum machine.
