Aage Petersen letter to Hugh Everett, 24-April-1957
Aage Petersen
Abstract
Aage Petersen was Niels Bohr's personal assistant. Along with Bohr, Petersen spent the fall of 1954 in Princeton and he and Hugh Everett became friends. As someone close to both Everett and to Bohr, Petersen was one of Everett's principal correspondents concerning the relationship between his work and the Copenhagen interpretation. Since both men considered the other a friend, they tended to be more frank and informal in discussing the Copenhagen reaction to Everett's work than some of Everett's correspondence. Here Petersen reports the Copenhagen line in response to both Everett and Wheeler's Reviews of Modern Physics preprints.
