Decoherence-free spin entanglement generation and purification in nanowire double quantum dots

Abstract

We propose a deterministic generation and purification of decoherence-free spin entangled states with singlet-triplet spins in nanowire double quantum dots via resonator-assisted charge manipulation and measurement techniques. Each spin qubit corresponds to two electrons in a double quantum dot in the nanowire, with the singlet and one of the triplets as the decoherence-free qubit states. The logical qubits are immunized against the dominant source of decoherence-dephasing—while the influences of additional errors are shown by numerical simulations. We analyse the performance and stability of all required operations and emphasize that all techniques are feasible in current experimental conditions.

Resonator-assisted entangling gate for singlet-triplet spin qubits in nanowire double quantum dots

Peng Xue, Yun‐Feng Xiao

We propose a resonator-assisted entangling gate for spin qubits with high fidelity. Each spin qubit corresponds to two electrons in a nanowire double quantum dot, with the singlet and one of the triplets as the logical qubit states. The gate is effected by virtual charge dipole transitions. We include noise in our model to show feasibility of the scheme under current experimental conditions.

Universal quantum computing with nanowire double quantum dots

Peng Xue

We present a method for implementing universal quantum computing using a singlet and triplets of nanowire double quantum dots coupled to a one-dimensional transmission line resonator. This method is suitable and of interest for both quantum computing and quantum control with inhibition of spontaneous emission, enhanced spin qubit lifetime, strong coupling and quantum nondemolition measurements of spin qubits. We analyze the performance and stability of all the required operations and emphasize that all techniques are feasible with current experimental technology.

Solid-State Circuit for Spin Entanglement Generation and Purification

Jacob M. Taylor, Wolfgang Dür, P. Zoller +3 more

We show how realistic charge manipulation and measurement techniques, combined with the exchange interaction, allow for the robust generation and purification of four-particle spin entangled states in electrically controlled semiconductor quantum dots. The generated states are immunized to the dominant sources of noise via a dynamical decoherence-free subspace; all additional errors are corrected by a purification protocol. This approach may find application in quantum computation, communication, and metrology.

Robust electron spin qubit control in a nanowire double quantum dot

Runyu Lu, Kaipeng Liu, Yue Ban

Robust and efficient manipulation of electron spin qubits in quantum dots is of great significance for the reliable realization of quantum computers and execution of quantum algorithms. In this paper, we study the robust control on a singlet-triplet qubit based on inverse engineering, one technique of shortcuts to adiabaticity (STA), in a nanowire double quantum dot in the presence of magnetic field and strong spin-orbit coupling. The optimization of STA with respect to the systematic errors, contributed from the control field and the perturbative interaction, is explored. Moreover, we also apply optimal control techniques combining with STA, referred to as robust inverse optimization, to design optimal control fields and optimal operation time. This article is part of the theme issue 'Shortcuts to adiabaticity: theoretical, experimental and interdisciplinary perspectives'.

Simple scheme for multiqubit quantum controlled phase-flip gate with singlet-triplet spin qubits in nanowire double quantum dots

Cheng-Zhi Fu, Song Ming-yu

Abstract We propose an alternative scheme for one-step implementing three-qubit controlled phase-flip gate of spin qubits in spatially separated double quantum dots with a superconducting stripline resonator (SSR). Due to the switchable coupling effect between the double quantum dots and SSR, the present scheme could be easily generalized for multi-qubits. The feasibility of the present scheme is characterized by exact numerical simulations that incorporate various sources of experimental noise. Our results show the possibility to realize this proposed scheme within current experimental technologies.
