Post-Quantum Cryptography for Big Data Security

Muhammad Talha Tahir Bajwa, Muhammad Nabeel Afzal, Muhammad Hamza Afzal +3 more

The emergence of quantum computing is a severe threat to traditional encryption technologies particularly those applied to large-scale data environments. Since big data systems are based on encryption algorithms that can theoretically be broken using quantum algorithms such as Grovers and Shors, big data systems are especially susceptible. Big data systems are characterized by huge volume, velocity and variety. Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) offers a proactive way of safeguarding such systems through the use of quantum-resistant algorithms that include hash-, lattice-, code-, and multivariate polynomial algorithms. This work discusses how PQC can be incorporated into big data infrastructures, particularly in distributed environments such as Hadoop and Spark, secure storage and real-time processing. Potential solutions are discussed along with such crucial topics as interoperability, computing overhead, and classical-to-quantum-safe standard transition. By adopting an early form of implementation of PQC, organizations can future-proof their big data security framework against an evolving quantum threat landscape.

Research on Quantum Secure Route Model and Line Model Image Encryption Technology Based on Big Data Technology

Lian Tong, Pingping Xia, Taizhi Lv

At present, the mature application of computer network and digitized information are increasingly popular, people's ability to crack encryption algorithms, and the traditional key system cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information system. This paper, on the data encryption of big data, data integrity and data disaster backup technology and quantum communication security of quantum key distribution, direct communication and quantum secret security sharing technology, proposed a quantum security computing route model based on the management condition of data authentication center. Based on the route model, this paper studies the image encryption technology of the linear model of quantum security computing from different technical perspectives to ensure the security of image information.

Big Data Security Issues and Quantum Cryptography for Cloud Computing

Vijey Thayananthan, Aiiad Ahmad Albeshri

Enhancement of security in cloud computing is challengeable when big data such as medical and government confidential information involves in a cloud environment. The managing key for individual user participated in the mobile cloud will be the problem when big data is handled without efficient security key management.Especially, mobile cloud nodes where users handle their data can be anywhere else in the cloud environment. So, managing keys for random users and finding correct locations of users" nodes and their identities are interesting areas for the research. To solve this problem related to key management, cloud services need efficient key management that employs quantum cryptography using Grover"s algorithm. Moreover, in this research, we introduce effective authentication technique in order to improve the level of security (with minimum complexity) In this paper, theoretical model, Grover"s algorithm and quantum cryptography with the PairHand protocol are considered as methodologies. As summarized results, security levels of users and services providers are considered to verify the services used in a cloud environment. In spite of same quantum properties characterize the light, data security issues are still not matured with the light technology.Hiding the big data in the light through this research methodology will be the conclusion of the future security.
