Abstract

In view of difficulties and questions of quantum mechanics in description of motion of electrons in hydrogen atom, we here established their nonlinear theory of motion based on the true motions of electron and nucleon and the real interactions between them, in which the motion of electron is depicted by a nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a Coulomb potential, the nonlinear interaction b∣φ∣2φ is produced by the change of Coulomb interaction between nucleon and electron due to the motion of nucleon. Thus the natures of the electron are thoroughly changed relative to those in quantum mechanics due to the nonlinear interactions, it not only is stable and localized, but also possesses a wave–corpuscle duality. Meanwhile, if its eigenenergy is still quantized and distributed in accordance with the energy levels, then we can use the new theory to explain perfectly the spectrum features of hydrogen atom, which resembles quantum mechanics, but its sizes of eigenenergy are depressed relative to that in quantum mechanics. This means that the nonlinear interaction enhances the localized and stable nature of the electron. Therefore, the new nonlinear theory is successful and correct to the hydrogen atom.

Nonlinear Quantum Mechanics and Its Correctness

XIAOFENG PANG

The basic principles of quantum mechanics, which is the foundations of model science, and, its difficulties and contradictions are exhibited and confirmed in detail and systematically by plenty of the experimental facts and theoretical results obtained from the solutions of basic Schrödinger equation through their comparisons of the intrinsic features of wave and corpuscle of the microscopic particles between the theoretical results and experimental facts. A basic difficulty is that the microscopic particles described by this linear theory have only a wave, not wave and corpuscle duality, which is inherent of quantum mechanics and cannot all be changed in the framework of the linear theory no matter what variations of investigated ways and methods, i.e., these difficulties and contradictions determinate and affirm that original quantum mechanics must be remoulded completely and developed forward. Its only direction of development is to establish nonlinear quantum mechanics, its some ideas and principles were proposed and suggested by a great number of researchers and authors over the past few decades, but they are not successful. But new nonlinear quantum mechanics proposed by Pang gave a perfect wave-corpuscle dulauty of microscopc particles and established a complete and systematical principle and theory. Thus, we afformed and confirmed the correctness of the new nonlinear quantum theory. In order to verify further the validity of the new nonlinear theory we elucodate and explain again that the nonlinear interactions existed in the new theory are wide and real existences in all physical systems, they were generated by virtue of five mechanisms for self-interaction, self-trapping, self-forcusing, self-considering and self-localizing. At the same time, we researched and exhibiteed fully the concrete representions of nonlear interaction for commom microscopic particles such as the electron, exciton, proton, plaron, photon, phonon and magneton, which are all consistent from those in Pang’s nonlinear quantum mechanics. These investigations and results proved also that Pang’s nonlinear quantum mechanics is correct and exact. Finally, we verified and confirmed completely the correctness of Pang’s new nonlinear theory using the experimental results of the property of movements of nonlinear solitons occurred in water and light fibers, in which the n, the dynamic equations of the water soliton and photon solito are all described by the nonlinear Schrödiger equation. Hence, their results and experimental evidences of wave-corpuscle duality of microscopic particles veried the correctness of Pang’s nonlinear quantum mechanics. Then we can use Pang’s theory to research the properties of microscopic particles in differet systems. THE NONLINEAR QUANTUM MECHANICAL THEORY AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Pang Xiao Feng

The properties of quantum mechanics and its difficulties and problems are discussed, the reasons resulting in these diffuculties and direction of development of quantum mechanics are carefully studied. In practice, quantum mechanics neglects the real motions of the microscopic particles and backgound field as well as the real interactions between them. Therefore it can describe appromately the states of microsco[ic particles. For solving these difficulties of quantum mechanics, we proposed and established a nonlinear quantum mechanics based on the properties of macroscopic quantum effect and theories of superconductivity and superfluidity. In the new theory the elementary principles are proposed, its properties are also investigated. Subsequently, the motion laws and some main properties of microscopic particles in nonlinear quantum systems, includong the wave-particle duality of the solution of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, the stability of microscopic particles described by nonlinear quantum mechanics and the classical rule of microscopic particle motion, are studied using these elementary principles and theories. We obtained a lot of new and interesting results from this investigation, for example, the microscopic particles have really a wave-corpuscle duality in nonlinear quantum mechabics. The microscopic particles are localized due to the nonlinear interaction, have a determinant size, mass, energy and momentum. Thus the microscopic particles have not only a corpuscle but also a wave features, which are completely different from those in quantum mechanics. Hence we conclude that nolinear quantum mechanics is a new physical theory, a correct representation of describing microscopic particles and a necessary result of the development of quantum mechanics, but traditional quantum mechanics is only its an approximation and especial case at the nonlinear interaction to be equal to zero, it can solve the difficulties and problems disputed for about a century by scientists in quantum mechanics field. In the meanwhile, we use the new theory of nonlinear quantum mechanics to study properties of the excitons and phonons in an organic crystry (acetanilide). The results obtained show that the excitons and phonons become as a soliton having a wave-corpuscle duality in this system. Thus the correctness and avialablity of nonlinear quantum mechanics are demontrated using these experiments. We can predict that it has extensive applications in physics, chemistry, biology and polymers, etc.. Finally we state how the difficulties and problems in quantum mechanics are solved by the new theory of nonlinear quantum mechanics. Thus we can affirm from these investigations that the nonlinear quantum mechanics established by us is correct, quantum mechanics is only an appromate theory.

The Schrodinger Equation only Describes Approximately the Properties of Motion of Microscopic Particles in Quantum Mechanics

Pang Xiao‐feng

Abstract-- We used a nonlinear Schrodinger equation to replace the linear Schrodinger equation and to study further the natures and states of microscopic particles due to plenty of difficulties of quantum mechanics. From this investigation we find that the states and properties of microscopic particles are considerably changed relative to those in quantum mechanics. An outstanding and obvious change is that the microscopic particles have a wave-corpuscle duality in such a case. The solution of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation contains an envelop and carrier waves with determinant frequency which can propagation in medium in a certain velocity. These display the wave feature of particle. However the solutions have all a mass centre and possess a determinant size and mass, momentum and energy, which satisfy also the conservation laws of mass, momentum and energy, at the same time, they meet the collision law of classical particles. These embody the corpuscle feature of the microscopic particles. Finally we seek the reasons and roots generating these changes, which are due to the nonlinear interactions among the particles or between the particles and background field to be considered in the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The nonlinear interactions provide a double-well potential to make the microscopic particle to be localized as a soliton, and break also through the fundamental hypothesis for the independence of Hamiltonian

The build of nonlinear quantum mechancs and variations of feature of microscopic particles as well as their experimental affirmation

Pang Xiao Feng

We establish the nonlinear quantum mechanics due to difficulties and problems of original quantum mechanics, in which microscopic particles have only a wave feature, not corpuscle feature, which are completely not consistent with experimental results and traditional concept of particle. In this theory the microscopic particles are no longer a wave, but localized and have a wave-corpuscle duality, which are represented by the following facts, the solutions of dynamic equation describing the particles have a wave-corpuscle duality, namely it consists of a mass center with constant size and carrier wave, is localized and stable and has a determinant mass, momentum and energy, which obey also generally conservation laws of motion, their motions meet both the Hamilton equation, Euler-Lagrange equation and Newton-type equation, their collision satisfies also the classical rule of collision of macroscopic particles, the uncertainty of their position and momentum is denoted by the minimum principle of uncertainty. Meanwhile the microscopic particles in this theory can both propagate in solitary wave with certain frequency and amplitude and generate reflection and transmission at the interfaces, thus they have also a wave feature, which but are different from linear and KdV solitary waves. Therefore the nonlinear quantum mechanics changes thoroughly the natures of microscopic particles due to the nonlinear interactions. In this investigation we gave systematically and completely the distinctions and variations between linear and nonlinear quantum mechanics, including the significances and representations of wave function and mechanical quantities, superposition principle of wave function, property of microscopic particle, eigenvalue problem, uncertainty relation and the methods solving the dynamic equations, from which we found nonlinear quantum mechanics is fully new and different from linear quantum mechanics. Finally, we verify further the correctness of properties of microscopic particles described by nonlinear quantum mechanics using the experimental results of light soliton in fiber and water soliton, which are described by same nonlinear Schr¶dinger equation. Thus we affirm that nonlinear quantum mechanics is correct and useful, it can be used to study the real properties of microscopic particles in physical systems.

THE CHANGES OF STATES AND PROPERTIES OF MICROSCOPIC PARTICLES UNDER INFLUENCES OF DIFFERENT EXTERNAL POTENTIAL FIELDS

Pang Xiao‐feng

The properties of microscopic particles are studied using the linear Schrödinger equation in quantum mechanics and nonlinear Schrödinger equation, respectively. The results obtained show that the microscopic particles have only a wave nature in quantum mechanics, but a wave-corpuscle duality in nonlinear systems depicted by the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, no matter the form of external potentials. Thus we know that the kinetic energy term in dynamic equations determines the wave feature of the particles; the nonlinear interaction term determines the corpuscle feature; their combination makes the microscopic particles have a wave-corpuscle duality. However the external potential term can change the phase and group velocities of motion, phase, amplitude, frequency and form of wave for the particles in both quantum mechanics and the nonlinear quantum systems, although it cannot change these fundamental natures of particles, no matter the forms. Meanwhile, we find that the changes of positions of the microscopic particles by increasing the time under action of an external potential satisfy the Newton-type equation of motion in nonlinear quantum systems. Thus the investigations make us not only see the limits and approximations of quantum mechanics but also know the necessity and importance of developing nonlinear quantum mechanics on the basis of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.

Dynamic Electron Orbits in Atomic Hydrogen

Gurcharn Singh Sandhu

Even after extensive research in Quantum Mechanics, we are still unable to visualize instant-to-instant motion of an electron in hydrogen atom. That is because in QM treatment, potential energy term has been mistakenly assumed to be time-independent instead of depending on the instant-to-instant varying position of the orbiting electron [1]. This has led to wrong and weird solutions for the electron motion in hydrogen atom. Before the advent of wave mechanics, Sommerfeld model of elliptical electron orbits was able to explain most features of hydrogen spectra, except for the features associated with electron spin and magnetic moment interactions. However, the Sommerfeld elliptical orbits were of kinematic origin and could not provide visualization of instant-to-instant dynamic motion of the orbiting electron. Contrary to the QM perspective, we find that central core of the electron behaves as a classical particle while its electrostatic field behaves as a wave phenomenon. As such an electron under Coulomb force moves strictly in accordance with Newtonian laws of motion. In this paper, we develop dynamic electron orbits in hydrogen atom by using energy and angular momentum conservation principle in central force field. We have shown that during photon emission, angular momentum of the orbiting electron is changed by ħ due to recoil action. This may be the origin of various quantization rules. During emission of a photon, elliptical orbit transitions are also computed and plotted. Orbit transition time is of the order of 10-16 seconds. We have extended this methodology to compute electron orbits in hydrogen molecular bond and computed the H2 bond energy.
