Abstract

Here we propose a scheme for enhancing the nonlocality of three-mode Gaussian state light fields. It is found that three-mode Gaussian State can become non-Gaussian by the non-Gaussian operation of an IPS process, It is vertified that nonlocality of Gaussian state can be enhanced by Bell inquality.

Nonlocality of two- and three-mode continuous variable systems

Alessandro Ferraro, Matteo G A Paris

We address the nonlocality of fully inseparable three-mode Gaussian states generated either by bilinear three-mode Hamiltonians or by a sequence of bilinear two-mode Hamiltonians. Two different tests revealing nonlocality are considered, in which the dichotomic Bell operator is represented by the displaced parity and by the pseudospin operator respectively. Three-mode states are also considered as a conditional source of two-mode non-Gaussian states, whose nonlocality properties are analysed. We found that the non-Gaussian character of the conditional states allows violation of Bell's inequalities (by parity and pseudospin tests) stronger than with a conventional twin-beam state. However, the non-Gaussian character is not sufficient to reveal nonlocality through a dichotomized quadrature measurement strategy.

Nonlocality Property of Three-Mode Correlated Fields

Ying-Dan Wang, Gao‐xiang Li, Zhao Zhi +1 more

Four three-mode correlated states are generated by two beam splitters. We show that, by means of parity measurement, those light fields exhibit the nonlocality represented by the violation of the Bell inequality. The conditions of the maximum violation are also studied.

Bell nonlocality in two-mode Gaussian states revealed via local squeezing

A. Lezama, A. Auyuanet

Local unitary operations cannot affect the quantum correlations between two systems sharing an entangled state although they do influence the outcomes of local measurements. By considering local squeezing operations we introduce an extended family of observables allowing violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt Bell inequality for two-mode Gaussian systems. We show that local squeezing can enable or enhance the identification of nonlocal two-mode states. In particular, we show that local squeezing followed by photon--no-photon discrimination can suffice to reveal nonlocality in a broad ensemble of pure and mixed two-mode Gaussian states.

Conditional superpositions of Gaussian operations on different modes of light

Ki-min Park B, Petr Marek, Radim Filip

We propose a conditional implementation of superpositions of Gaussian operations on different modes of light. These operations are conditional entanglers generating non-Gaussian entanglement between two modes of propagating light beams. The all-optical operations emulate weak effects of highly nonlinear operations only available when light interacts with individual atoms. In particular, we propose schemes to implement superposition of coherent displacements and squeezings on two beams of light and discuss physical properties of generated non-Gaussian entanglement. These methods together with high quality of optical tomography of highly nonclassical states allow one to understand non-Gaussian entangling processes.

Enhancement of nonlocality in phase space

Stefano Olivares, Matteo G. A. Paris

We show that inconclusive photon subtraction (IPS) on a twin beam produces non-Gaussian states that violate Bell's inequality in the phase space. The violation is larger than for the twin beam itself irrespective of the IPS quantum efficiency. The explicit expression for the IPS map is given both for the density matrix and the Wigner function representations.
