An Informal Discussion of Quantum Computing and Quantum Probability

Michael Edesess

Quantum computing, like conventional computing, is a technology to perform stepwise physical transformations on physical entities in such a way as to run algorithms. Because the steps in the physical quantum computing process are very different from those in conventional computing, quantum computers may be able to solve certain computational problems much more quickly than conventional computers. In addition, quantum computing, due to its potentially microscopically controllable processes, may provide insights into the fundamental nature of quantum processes and their probabilistic nature. In this seminar Dr. Edesess will present and conduct a discussion of the issues.

Performance of Quantum Computers in Machine Learning and Big Data Analysis

Khyati Singh, Ashish Tomar, Vinay K. Singh

Quantum computing is a cutting-edge computing technique based on quantum physics. Quantum Computers have low energy consumption and escalated speed over traditional computers. This paper will help you understand how information is implemented and actions are taken in quantum systems. We wanted to focus on how these computers are made and processed differently from the PC on your desk. Each of the topics can have a seminar of its own, so only the basics are covered.
