Reversible logic gates are extensively known to be compatible with future computing technologies which approximately dissipate zero heat. Concurrent Error Detection (CED) is very noticeable and widely utilized to enhance system dependability. All the inputs can be reproduced at the outputs, by utilizing the inverse property of reversible logic. Hence, by comparing the original inputs with the reproduced inputs, the errors in reversible circuits can be detected. The focus of this paper is on introducing inverse property of reversible logic gates. Also, some well-known reversible logic gates with their inverse characteristics are described. Results have been confirmed by the truth table. Finally, the proposed structures significantly show the sample circuits design for Concurrent Error Detection.

This work presents the logical reversibility. The inputs and outputs of reversible logic gates can be uniquely retrievable from each other. The reversible logic operations can't erase information and dissipate zero heat. The circuit actually operates in a backward operation, allows reproducing the inputs from the outputs and consumes zero power. As the basic elements of any logic circuit, logic gates are used to realize Boolean functions. By combining reversible logic gates, reversible circuits can perform complex logical and arithmetic operations. A one-to-one mapping between inputs and outputs is realized. The logical operations run backwards by cascading a reversible logic gate with its dual (inverse). Reversible circuits are also called lossless circuits, as there is neither energy loss nor information loss. These circuits are very attractive for applications where extremely low power consumption, or heat dissipation, is desirable in areas ranging from communications, low power VLSI (very large-scale integration) technology, optical computing to nanotechnology. Reversible logic found to be very useful in quantum computing where the quantum evolution is inherently reversible.

— Reversible logic gates are particularly searched after for the future figuring headways as they are known to make zero power spread under perfect conditions. Reversible circuits hold ensure in cutting edge enlisting developments like low power VLSI, quantum figuring, nanotechnology, optical handling, etc. Reversible logic gates require reliable contributions for reconfiguration of passage limits and garbage yields that help in keeping reversibility. By contrasting the different boundaries, it is conceivable to comprehend an individual door quality. Through this a circuit's conduct can be investigated. The fundamental intention of this paper is by contrasting the high-level computation gates which are utilized in the circuits. At that point the garbage output has been estimated. In this paper a survey has been taken of high-level computation gates and comparison has been done with its samples. A clear view of survey details has been given in a comparative table.

Reversible logic is introduced to overcome the problem of heat dissipation in conventional systems i.e using AND and OR gates.Quantum computing is one of the major and emerging applications of reversible logic. In conventional computers there are two states either ‘1’ or ‘0’ but quantum computing which is devolping based on the quantum theory where ‘0’ and ‘1’are used simultaneously . Reversible logic gates are designed using reversible logic.Reversible logic gates are the gates that have same number of inputs and outputs and have one-to-one mapping between input and output lines.Based on this reversible logic we have designed a reversible division circuit since division is one of the main building block in ALU and has crucial role in digital signal processing. The proposed design have reduced the hardware complexity of 24s+48δ when compared to the existing designs in reversible logic.
It has been realized that quantum computing is one of the latest technologies using reversible logic. It is observed that increasing growth of transistor density, power consumption will reach their limits in conventional technologies. In conventional Circuits during the logic operations bits of information is erased resulting dissipation of energy in significant amount. Thus, if Circuits are designed so that information bits can be preserved, the power use can be reduced. In case of reversible logic computation, the information bits are not lost. We can use reversible logic technology for minimizing the power consumption, heat dissipation, increasing speed etc. This paper describes various logic gates based on reversible logic like Toffoli, Peres, Fredkin, and Feynman etc. A comparative between classical and quantum logic gates is also given on various parameters along with limitations of conventional computing.
