Abstract

By using Lie dynamical algebra representation theory, we have solved the master equation for the nondegenerate parametric amplifier model in a thermal reservoir. Applying a series of transformations, we show that the master equation has multiple commuted SU(1,1) Lie algebra structures. The explicit solution to the master equation has been obtained.

Solution to the Master Equation of a Free Damped Harmonic Oscillator with Linear Driving

Yang Jie, Huai-Xin Lu, Bo Zhao +2 more

We use the Lie algebra representation theory for superoperators to solve the master equation for a harmonic oscillator with a linear driving term in a squeezed thermal reservoir. By using the quantum displacement transformation and squeeze transformation, we show that the master equation has an su (1,1) Lie algebra structure, with which we obtain the explicit solution to the master equation. A simple but typical example is given to illustrate our method.

Exact solution of degenerate and nondegenerate optical parametric oscillator coupled with a squeezed thermal bath

Braulio Misael Villegas-Martínez, H. M. Moya-Cessa, Francisco Soto

We solve exactly the master equation of the degenerate and nondegenerate parametric oscillator in the presence of a squeezed reservoir. We show that the formal solutions of both systems can be obtained in terms of the density operator by applying squeeze transformations and using the superoperators formalism.

ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURE OF A MASTER EQUATION WITH GENERALIZED LINDBLAD FORM

KAZUYUKI FUJII

The quantum damped harmonic oscillator is described by the master equation with usual Lindblad form. The equation has been solved completely by us in arXiv: 0710.2724 [quant-ph]. To construct the general solution a few facts of representation theory based on the Lie algebra su(1,1) were used. In this paper we treat a general model described by a master equation with generalized Lindblad form. Then we examine the algebraic structure related to some Lie algebras and construct the interesting approximate solution.

To realize it we must overcome severe problems arising from Decoherence, so we need to study Quantum Open System to control decoherence (if possible). This paper is a series of [1] and [2], and we study dynamics of a quantum open system. First we explain our purpose in a short manner. A Master Equation with Generalized Lindblad Form and a Unitary Transformation by the Squeezing Operator

Kazuyuki Fujii

In the preceding paper arXiv:0802.3252 [quant-ph] we treated a model given by a master equation with generalized Lindblad form, and examined the algebraic structure related to some Lie algebras and constructed an approximate solution. In this paper we apply a unitary transformation by the squeezing operator to the master equation. Then the generalized Lindblad form is tranformed to the usual Lindblad one, while the (original) Hamiltonian is tranformed to somewhat complicated one. As a result we have two different representations based on the Lie algebra su(1,1). We examine new algebraic structure and construct some approximate solution.

Light Entanglement from a Non-Degenerate Three-Level Laser with a Parametric Amplifier and Coupled to a Thermal Reservoir

Negasa Belay

The quantum properties of a non-degenerate three-level laser with the parametric amplifier and coupled to a thermal reservoir are thoroughly analyzed with the use of the pertinent master equation and stochastic differential equations associated with the normal ordering. Applying solutions of resulting differential equations, quadrature variance, the mean and variance of photon number, the photon number correlation are calculated. However, the two-mode driving light has no effect on the squeezing properties of the cavity modes. Employing the same solutions, one can also obtain anti normally ordered characteristic function defined in the Heisenberg picture. For a linear gain coefficient of (A = 100), for a cavity damping constant of K= 0:8, µ = 0 and for thermal reservoir th = 0, the maximum intra cavity photon entanglement is found at steady state and at threshold to be 60%.
