On G.Birkhoff and J.von Neumann's Quantum Logic

MING-YI CHEN

As the logic of propositions of quantum measurements,G.Birkhoff and J.von Neumann's quantum logic has been regarded as including Orthogonal complement that is weaker than classic negation, quantum disjunction that is neither classical logic nor distributive, and poset that is a non-Boolean algebra.Based on the unitary operator functional analyses, this paper points out that those apparent nonclassic features of quantum logic are only classic functional nature, and the non-distribution ∩(x ∪ x_) = y ∩1 = y,but(y ∩ x) ∪(y ∩ x_) = ∪ 0 = x at the benzene ring can not be correct.

Quantum logic control and precision measurements of molecular ions in a ring trap -- a new approach for testing fundamental symmetries

Yan Zhou, Joshua O. Island, Grau, Matt

We present a new platform facilitating quantum logic control of polar molecular ions in a segmented ring ion trap, paving the way for precision measurements. This approach focuses on achieving near-unity state preparation and detection, as well as long spin coherence. A distinctive aspect lies in separating state preparation and detection conducted in a static frame, from parity-selective spin-precession in a rotating frame. This method can be applied to a wide range of ion species and will be used to search for the electron's electric dipole moment and the nuclear magnetic quadrupole moment.

Superconductive Static Quantum Logic

Xin Xue, Haiqing Wei

Superconducting rings with exactly $Φ_0/2$ magnetic flux threading are analogous of Ising spins having two degenerate states which can be used to store binary information. When brought close these rings interact by means of magnetic coupling. If the interactions are properly tailored, a system of such superconducting rings can accomplish static quantum logic in the sense that the states of the rings interpreted as Boolean variables satisfy the desired logic relations when and only when the whole system is in the ground state. Such static logic is essential to carry out the static quantum computation [1,2].
