Simplified Solving Procedure for the One-Dimensional Schrodinger Equation with Asymmetrical Boundary Conditions

H. Puszkarski

We propose a new simplified procedure for finding the analytical solutions of the stationary one-dimensional Schrödinger equation, with asymmetric boundary conditions imposed on the equation. The essence of the method consists in expressing the general solution explicitly in terms of the boundary parameters in a form which, by itself, satisfies one of the boundary conditions involved; then, the other boundary condition gives straightforwardly the characteristic equation. This method may turn out to be beneficial with regard to the recently growing interest in one-dimensional quantum systems.

How to Derive the Schrodinger Equation

David W. Ward, Sabine M. Volkmer

We illustrate a simple derivation of the Schrodinger equation, which requires only knowledge of the electromagnetic wave equation and the basics of Einstein's special theory of relativity. We do this by extending the wave equation for classical fields to photons, generalize to non-zero rest mass particles, and simplify using approximations consistent with non-relativistic particles.

Survey on Schrodinger Equation of Hydrogen Atom System

Junmin Zhang

This article analysised the characteristics of the hydrogen atom system, simplified the hydrogen atom as two bodies questions, and infered the steady state Schrodinger equation of the hydrogen atom system. We obtained that the quality of steady state Schrodinger equation is not the electronic quality, and is not the atomic quality, but is the systematic reduced mass.
