Experimentally accessible geometrical separability criteria

Abstract

We present an intuitive geometrical approach to entanglement detection. It allows one to formulate simple and experimentally feasible sufficient conditions for entanglement. Within the approach we derive the necessary and sufficient condition for separability and discuss its relation with entanglement witnesses and positive maps.

Experimentally Friendly Geometrical Criteria for Entanglement

Piotr Badziąg, Časlav Brukner, Wiesław Laskowski +2 more

A simple geometrical criterion gives experimentally friendly sufficient conditions for entanglement. Its generalization gives a necessary and sufficient condition. It is linked with a family of entanglement identifiers, which is strictly richer than the family of entanglement witnesses.

Quantum entanglement estimation via symmetric-measurement-based positive maps

Jiaxin Li, Hongmei Yao, Shao-Ming Fei +2 more

We provide a class of positive and trace-preserving maps based on symmetric measurements. From these positive maps we present separability criteria, entanglement witnesses, and the lower bounds of concurrence. We show by detailed examples that our separability criteria, entanglement witnesses, and lower bounds can detect and estimate the quantum entanglement better than existing related results.

A note on entanglement detection via the generalized realignment moments

Xiaofen Huang, Xishun Zhu, Bin Chen +2 more

The experimental detection of quantum entanglement is of great importance in quantum information processing. We present two separability criteria based on the generalized realignment moments. By incorporating additional parameters, these criteria prove to be more flexible and stronger than some of existing ones. Detailed examples are given to demonstrate their availability and feasibility for entanglement detection.

Unified approach to geometric and positive-map-based nonlinear entanglement identifiers

Marcin Markiewicz, Adrian Kołodziejski, Zbigniew Puchała +3 more

Detecting quantumness of correlations (especially entanglement) is a very hard task even in the simplest case, i.e., two-partite quantum systems. Here we provide an analysis of whether there exists a relation between two of the most popular types of entanglement identifiers: the first one based on positive maps and not directly applicable in the laboratory and the second one a geometric entanglement identifier which is based on specific Hermiticity-preserving maps. We show a profound relation between those two types of entanglement criteria. Hereunder we have proposed a general framework of nonlinear functional entanglement identifiers which allows us to construct experimentally friendly entanglement criteria.

Separability Criteria from Uncertainty Relations

Otfried Gühne

We explain several separability criteria which rely on uncertainty relations. For the derivation of these criteria uncertainty relations in terms of variances or entropies can be used. We investigate the strength of the separability conditions for the case of two qubits and show how they can improve entanglement witnesses.
