QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT IN THE SYSTEM OF TWO SPIN-1/2 PARTICLES WITH HEISENBERG EXCHANGE INTERACTION IN THE PRESENCE OF A SINGLE-MODE VACUUM FIELD

Abstract

The nonclassical properties of two spin-1/2 particles with Heisenberg exchange interaction in a single-mode vacuum field are investigated. By using the quantum reduced entropy, we demonstrate that the ratio ka between Heisenberg exchange interaction constant difference (J - Jz) and the spin-field coupling constant Ω can affect the feature of the entanglement significantly. It is found that the entanglement of the system evolves periodically with time, the evolvement period of the entanglement between two spin-1/2 particles and the field increases with the increasing ka, which is true for the single spin-field entanglement, but that is contrary for the entanglement between the two spin particles. Our results show that three entangled states of two spins-field, spin–spin, and spin-field can be prepared via two spin-1/2 particles interacting with a single-mode vacuum field. We also characterize the field state by using Mandel's Q parameter, it is proved that the nonclassical properties of the field state will get weaker with the increasing ka and are dramatically different from those in the case of selective measurement for spin.

The properties of quantum field entropy evolution in a single-mode vacuum field-coupled two-level atoms′ system were by the complete quantum theory. The numerical results indicate that the quantum field entropy in the system is periodic oscillation with two peaks′ or many peaks′ structures; The quantum entanglement between the atoms decreases with the increase of the dipole-dipole interaction strength between them; The amplitude of the field quantum entropy decreases with the increase of the probability of the two atoms stayed simultaneously in their ground states;Especially when the two atoms both stayed in their ground states, the field and the atoms are both disentangled for a long time; The coupling strength between the field and the atoms has important influences on the periodicity of the field quantum entropy, namely, the periodicity mentioned above becomes shorter with the strengther of the coupling.

Quantum entanglement in the interaction between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom

Zeng Ming-sheng, Xie Fang-sen, Huiming Jiang

The properties of the entanglement between squeezing vacuum state field and moving two-level atom are investigated by using the von Neumann entropy. The influences of field-mode structure of moving two-level atom and the squeezing degree of initial squeezing vacuum state field on the entanglement of the quantum system are discussed. The results show that atomic movement can result in evolution periodically of the degree of entanglement. The quantum state will be maximally entangled state for a long time when the squeezing degree are high, the increase of field-mode structure result in more disentangled states.

Quantum entanglement in the mode-mode competition system

Qin Wu, Mao-Fa Fang, Feng Yong-Zhen +1 more

Considering a two-level atom interacting with the competing two-mode field, this paper investigates the entanglement between the two-level atom and the two-mode field by using the quantum reduced entropy, and that between the two-mode field by using the quantum relative entropy of entanglement. It shows that the two kinds of entanglement are dependent on the relative coupling strength of atom-field and the atomic distribution, and exhibit the periodical evolution. The maximal atom–field entanglement state can be prepared via the appropriate selection of system parameters and interaction time.

Quantum entanglement in a mixed-spin trimer: Effects of a magnetic field and heterogeneous g factors

Zhirayr Adamyan, Vadim Ohanyan

Mixed spin-(1/2,1/2,1) trimer with two different Landé g factors and two different exchange couplings is considered. The main feature of the model is nonconserving magnetization. The Hamiltonian of the system is diagonalized analytically. We presented a detailed analysis of the ground-state properties, revealing several possible ground-state phase diagrams and magnetization profiles. The main focus is on how nonconserving magnetization affects quantum entanglement. We have found that nonconserving magnetization can bring a continuous dependence of the entanglement quantifying parameter (negativity) on the magnetic field within the same eigenstate, while for the case of uniform g factors it is a constant. The main result is an essential enhancement of the entanglement in the case of uniform couplings for one pair of spins caused by an arbitrary small difference in the values of g factors. This enhancement is robust and brings almost a sevenfold increase of the negativity. We have also found a weakening of entanglement for other cases. Thus, nonconserving magnetization offers a broad opportunity to manipulate the entanglement by means of a magnetic field.
