CAM Analysis of Dimensionality Crossover

Hidetsugu Kitatani, 孝弘 垣内, Nobuyasu Ito +1 more

Layered square-lattice ferromagnetic Ising models (∞×∞× n lattices) are studied by the Monte Carlo simulation for n =3 to 7. The results show the dimensionality crossover from the two-dimensional square lattice Ising model to the three-dimensional simple cubic Ising model. Furthermore, the CAM analysis is performed to evaluate the critical exponent γ of the three-dimensional simple cubic ferromagnetic Ising model, which shows that γ =1.21(4). The present analysis is also applicable to the study of the phase transition of quantum spin systems.

Critical exponents of the 3D antiferromagnetic three-state Potts model using the coherent-anomaly method

Miroslav Kolesik, Masuo Suzuki

The antiferromagnetic three-state Potts model on the simple-cubic lattice is studied using the coherent-anomaly method (CAM). The CAM analysis provides the estimates for the critical exponents which indicate the XY universality class, namely α = −0.011, β = 0.351, γ = 1.309 and δ = 4.73. This observation corroborates the results of the recent Monte Carlo simulations, and disagrees with the proposal of a new universality class.
