Time-evolution operator and propagator for quadratic Hamiltonians

Francisco Marcelo Fernández

The time-evolution operator and the propagator for a general one-dimensional quadratic Hamiltonian are obtained. The method is based on the equations of motion for the coordinate and momentum in the Heisenberg representation and the problem is reduced to solving the classical equations of motion.

A Note on Deformed Ladder Operators for Noncommutative Morse Oscillator

A.H. Nadhira, Nurisya Mohd Shah, Chan, K. T.

Morse oscillator is one of the known solvable potentials which attracts many applications in quantum mechanics especially in quantum chemistry. One of the interesting results of this study is the generation of ladder operators for Morse potential. The operators are a representation of the shifting energy levels of the states exhibited by the wavefunction. From this result, we manipulate and deform the operators in such a way that it gives a noncommutative property to promote noncommutative quantum mechanics (NCQM). The resultant NC feature can be shown in the spatial coordinates and finally the Hamiltonian. In this study, we consider two-dimensional Morse potential where the ladder operators are in the form of the corresponding 2D Morse.

Generalized Swanson models and their solutions

A Sinha, P Roy

We analyse a class of non-Hermitian quadratic Hamiltonians, which are of the form , where α, β are real constants, with α ≠ β, and and are generalized creation and annihilation operators respectively. Thus, these Hamiltonians may be classified as generalized Swanson models. It is shown that the eigenenergies are real for a certain range of values of the parameters. A similarity transformation ρ, mapping the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian H to a Hermitian one h , is also obtained. It is shown that H and h share identical energies. As explicit examples, the solutions of a couple of models based on the trigonometric Rosen–Morse I and the hyperbolic Rosen–Morse II type potentials are obtained. We also study the case where the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian is symmetric.
