CONVERSION OF ENTANGLEMENT BETWEEN CONTINUOUS VARIABLE AND QUBIT SYSTEMS VIA INTERACTION

Abstract

We investigate how entanglement can be transferred between continuous variable and qubit systems. We find that a two-mode squeezed vacuum state and a continuous variable Werner state can be converted to the product states of an infinitive number of two-qubit states while keeping the entanglement. The reverse process is also possible. The proposed conversion model is theoretically viable but difficult to realize in the laboratory.

Perfect A/D conversion of entanglement

Xiaoyu Chen

We investigate how entanglement can be perfectly transfered between continuous variable and qubits system. We find that a two-mode squeezed vacuum state can be converted to the product state of an infinitive number of two-qubit states while keeping the entanglement. The reverse process is also possible. The interaction Hamitonian is a kind of non-linear Jaynes-Cumings Hamiltonian.

DYNAMICAL AND STEADY-STATE REQUIREMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE ENTANGLEMENT TRANSFER

Mauro Paternostro, M. S. Kim, Wonmin Son

Entanglement transfer processes from a continuous-variable (CV) to a qubit system have primary importance in quantum information processing due to some practical implications in the realization of a quantum network. A CV system can propagate entanglement while a qubit system is easy to manipulate. We study conditions to entangle two atomic qubits with a two-mode squeezed field driving two cavities containing the atoms.

Entanglement transformations in quantum A/D and D/A mappings

Xiaoyu Chen, Xiangjun Li, Xi-Wu Chen +2 more

We consider the entanglement transformations of the protocols that convert quantum qubit system to continuous variable system and convert it back. Here the quantum D/A conversion protocol maps finite-dimensional input states onto continuous variable states while the quantum A/D conversion protocol maps two mode squeezed state onto entangled state in 2x2 dimensions. Quantum carrier is investigated when pure qubit state interacts with coherent state.

On the transfer of entanglement from a two-mode squeezed state to a pair of qubits

Mauro Paternostro, Wonmin Son, M. S. Kim

There have recently been interests in transferring entanglement between two quantum systems in different Hilbert spaces. In particular, the study of entanglement transfer from a continuous-variable to a qubit system has a primary importance due to practical implications. A continuous-variable system easily propagates entanglement while a qubit system is easy to manipulate. We investigate conditions to entangle two two-level atoms for a broad-band two-mode squeezed field driving the cavities where the atoms are.

Proposed Entanglement Swapping in Continuous Variable Systems via Braiding

Hong-Yi Su, Jing‐Ling Chen, Dong-Ling Deng +1 more

We study entanglement swapping in continuous variable systems by using braiding transformations. It is found that entanglement swapping in two-mode squeezed vacuum states and squeezed coherent states can be realized based on the braiding operators.
