Abstract

From negative quantum conditional entropy point of view this paper intestigates the entanglement measure of the prue state and a kind of mixed state of bipartite quantum system. Also this paper gives a definition of quantum conditional entropy of entanglement EA|B(ρAB) and proves that it satisfies the four fundamental conditions of a entanglement measure for a kind of mixed state of 2×2 quantum system by this negative quantum conditional entropy Using conditional entropy of entanglement, this paper investigates the quantum entanglement between the two identical two-level atoms simultaneously interacting with vacuum cavity field as an application. This paper compares conditional entropy of entanglement and concurrence at the same condition, and the result shows that the curves of their evolvements are identical. These obtained results test and verifys that conditions of an entanglement measure may be taken as the entanglement measure of the prue state and a kind of mixed state of bipartite quantum system.

Entanglement of an arbitrary state of the two identical two-level atoms simultaneously interacting with vacuum cavity field

Liu Xiao-juan

It's investigated that the entanglement of an arbitrary state between the two identical two-level atoms simultaneously interacting with vacuum cavity field by using negative quantum condition entropy. It's discussed that the influence of the initial states of system considered on the evolution of entanglement between the two atoms and compare the results of condition entropy of entanglement with those of entanglement between the two-atoms based on the concurrence. The results show that the negative quantum conditional entropy can be regarded as a entanglement measure of an arbitrary states of the two identical two-level atoms with simple calculated analytically.2figs.,12refs.

A comparison of the entanglement measures negativity and concurrence

Frank Verstraete, Koenraad M. R. Audenaert, Jeroen Dehaene +1 more

In this paper we investigate two different entanglement measures in the case of mixed states of two qubits. We prove that the negativity of a state can never exceed its concurrence and is always larger than √[(1 − C ) 2 + C 2 ] − (1 − C ), where C is the concurrence of the state. Furthermore, we derive an explicit expression for the states for which the upper or lower bound is satisfied. Finally we show that similar results hold if the relative entropy of entanglement and the entanglement of formation are compared.

Relative Entropy of Entanglement for a Two-parameter Class ofStates in 2n Quantum System

Di Yao-Min

Any arbitrary state in bipartite quantum system can be transformed into a two-parameter class of states by means of local quantum operation and classical communication. In this paper, the quantum relative entropy of entanglement for this kind of states is calculated, the nearest separable states are found and the analytic expression of the entanglement is obtained. The comparation with two other measures of entanglement, the negativity and the entanglement of formation,is also made. The sequence of three measures from high to low is the negativity, the entanglement of formation and the relative entropy of entanglement.

Methods For Measuring Quantum Entanglement: Entanglement Entropy Measures and their Implications

Rajendra Kumar

The paper is an elaborate comparative assessment of the most relevant entropy-based quantities to be applied in quantifying quantum entanglement in pure, mixed, bipartite, and multipartite quantum systems. The study fills the existing gap in the literature in which most of the previous literature examines individual measures, but a lot of knowledge is lacking on what these measures are regarding their strengths, weaknesses, and the operational usefulness against each other. The study can prove the behaviour of each measure under noise, decoherence, dimensional scaling, and variation of state-type by analysing von Neumann entropy, the Tsallis entropy, entropy of entanglement of formation, concurrence and logarithmic negativity. Numerical studies with pure two-qubit states, Werner states, GHZ states, W states and mixed random states demonstrate specific sensitivity properties and computational limitations which ensure that no single measure can be a universal quantifier. The paper goes on to say that entropy-only measures do not work in mixed regimes because of a dominance in classical correlations. The results have several important implications to quantum communication, quantum simulation, and quantum computing in the NISQ-era, where the choice of measurement has a direct impact on benchmarking, error-correction scheme, and protocol performance based on entanglement. The paper ends with a recommendation of contextual, purpose-based scheme of selecting entanglement measures and suggests a further study on scalable benchmarking, hybrid quantifiers, and operational performance-based entanglement measurements. These observations reinforce the theoretical premise of entanglement studies and enable the advancement of more effective quantum technologies in the field of practice.

Quantum Entanglement and Conditional Information Transmission

Robert R. Tucci

We propose a new measure of quantum entanglement. Our measure is defined in terms of conditional information transmission for a Quantum Bayesian Net. We show that our measure is identically equal to the Entanglement of Formation in the case of a bipartite (two listener) system occupying a pure state. In the case of mixed states, the relationship between these two measures is not known yet. We discuss some properties of our measure. Our measure can be easily and naturally generalized to handle n-partite (n-listener) systems. It is non-negative for any n. It vanishes for conditionally separable states with n listeners. It is symmetric under permutations of the n listeners. It decreases if listeners are merged, pruned or removed. Most promising of all, it is intimately connected with the Data Processing Inequalities. We also find a new upper bound for classical mutual information which is of interest in its own right.

Negativity and Concurrence of mixed 2X2 states

Koenraad M. R. Audenaert, Frank Verstraete, Tijl De Bie +1 more

We consider two measures of entanglement of mixed bipartite states of dimension 2X2: concurrence and negativity. We first prove the conjecture of Eisert and Plenio that concurrence can never be smaller than negativity. We then characterise all states for which concurrence equals negativity and also those states for which the difference between concurrence and negativity is maximal (keeping either the concurrence fixed, or the participation ratio R=1/trace(rho^2)).
