Abstract

The authors developed and investigated a software model of BB84 quantum key distribution with time-coded fiber optic lines. We studied the dependence of the error key generation systems and noise-threshold comparator UPF. We analyzed the opportunity for strengthening the security protocol at the expense of statistical monitoring of key system parameters.

Algorithms of keys forming are considered. Probability of photon detection is calculated. The results of calculations demonstrate that the most effective protocol is BB84. Version of the protocol BB84 with phase coding is the most widespread because polarization coding doesn't provide acceptable level of noise stability. Nowadays quantum cryptography protocols are useful in commercial quantum key distribution systems.

The vulnerability of quantum key distribution (QKD) systems to low-intensity attacks that masquerade as natural optical channel noise is analyzed. An approach is proposed for detecting hidden anomalies based on multiparametric telemetry analysis using the Isolation Forest machine learning algorithm. A pipeline for generating computed temporal features is developed, which enriches the system state vector with dynamic signal characteristics. Using a software testbed, simulation modeling of the BB84 protocol is performed to evaluate the effectiveness of attack detection within the equipment’s permissible operating range. The superiority of the proposed method over the classical threshold-based approach is experimentally demonstrated.

In the paper we propose a model of amplification protocol with quantum key distribution by monitoring the levels of statistical error rate of key generation and distribution of quasi-one-photon states in quantum channel.
