Abstract

In this paper, a new method of safe, secure and efficient way of communication, Quantum Wireless Communication(QWC) is proposed, the security offered by a QWC channel and the different ways of communicating in QWC are also discussed. In terms of complexity, wireless medium has a lot of advantages than that of optical fibers since there are no birefringence effects in the free space. In addition, it also has the advantage of the Wireless Quantum Key Distribution(WQKD) using which a key is exchanged wirelessly from one state to another. Based on these, we will design and achieve a high directional, high bandwidth communication channel with utmost security.

An overview of Quantum Cryptography for Wireless Networking Infrastructure

K.H. Sheikh, Syed.S. Hyder, Muhammad Mubashir Khan

Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is used in Quantum Cryptographic Systems to exchange secret key between parties who need to communicate secretly. Such a key can be used with a symmetric encryption schemes to establish a secure communication. Until recently, QKD is possible using optical fiber over few tens of kilometers but not more due to single photons getting absorbed by the fiber. There are no commercial wireless quantum crypto products yet, but QKD will soon be used in wireless medium from satellite to the earth so we could get 10,000 miles. But wireless medium brings its own problems. The energy transmitted via a wireless link spreads out, leading to higher and varying transmission losses, ambient daylight, or even light from the moon at night couple into the receiver, leading to a higher error rate. Interference from other photon sources air with clouds, dust and unsettled conditions creates intervention. In this paper, different techniques for communication in Quantum Cryptography using wireless networking infrastructure are discussed.

Novel protocol for quantum cryptography of secure in wireless communications

Xu Guang Huang, Shirantha Wijesekera, Dharmendra Kumar Sharma

Wireless networks have become one of the most widely used communication systems in the world. However, providing secure communication for wireless networks has become one of the prime concerns. Quantum cryptography, namely Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), offers the promise of unconditional security. In our paper, we shall extend our previous research work to a new method of integrating quantum cryptography for key distribution in 802.11 wireless networks. Our contributions, based on our previous results [1], are as follows: (1) We shall show how QKD can be used in IEEE 802.11 wireless networks to securely distribute the keys. (2) We shall introduce a method that take the advantage of mutual authentication features offered by some EAP variants of 802.1X Port-Based Network Access Control. (3) Finally, we present a new code called Quantum Message Integrity Code (Q-MIC) which provides mutual authentication between the two communication parties and its implementation

A Study and Design of Encryption Less Protocol using Quantum Bits for Secure Communication in Wireless Network

K. Maharajan, M. Jayalakshmi, Dr.B. Paramasivan +1 more

Today‟s wireless network has become one of the most important communication medium. However, providing secure communication for wireless network has become the challenging issues at present days. In present communication system, traditional cryptography was used for secure communication. It has more computational complexity and intruder may easily retrieve the encrypted messages. To overcome this complexity we aim to design a new protocol using quantum bits for enhancing the security. Quantum mechanics defines structure and behavior of quantum bits (i.e.) often called Qubits and it is thousand times faster than traditional one. A traditional computer system uses two bits 0 (or) 1. In quantum system uses Qubits that is normally represented mathematically by vectors such as |0>, |1> as two states, and four bases |H>, |V>, |R>, |L>. By this quantum cryptography method two parties may generate secret cryptographic key known as checkbits which are generated using static quantum channel. Two channels namely public and hidden channels are used to transfer data through secured mode without encryption. By using hidden channel concept in quantum mechanics, secure transmission of data without encryption can be done.

QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION FOR ULTRA-SECURE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

EMERGING TRENDS IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

The Wireless communication networks have been increasing their speed at a fast pace while the data sent over unsecured channels has become a major concern due to security issues. The advancement in cryptography techniques is based mainly on computational hardness, which will be endangered as quantum computing technology advances. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a way to share keys in a secure manner based on quantum mechanics principles, which do not allow any kind of unauthorized access. Here we present a wireless communication framework that is secure in nature and makes use of Quantum Key Distribution along with support from Grover’s quantum search algorithm. In particular, the overall system provides generation, distribution, and verification of keys among communicating partners through both quantum channel and classical communication channel security features. Using Grover’s algorithmize one can make key validation more efficient without much increasing computational need for compromising system performance. This will result in high performance systems. This thesis proposed model covers the basic aspects of the techniques, error correction and key sifters. All this together helps to determine a verifiable secret key implementation as a practicable instrument. The system’s performance is simulated in an assesment based evaluation for system security strength, rate of key generation and resistance to eavesdropping threats .This shows that the Security System provides protection against both Classical as well as Quantum Threats and also guarantees efficiency in their communication. The method proposed above is a scalable and future-ready security solutions for the next generation of wireless networks. It does so by contributing to the fortified communication systems in the quantum era and helping develop an enhanced quantum cryptographic system.

Quantum Cryptography: Secure Communication Beyond Classical Limits

Rohit Goyal

Quantum cryptography promises secure communication protocols that surpass the limitations of classical cryptography. By leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics, particularly the phenomenon of quantum entanglement and the uncertainty principle, quantum cryptography protocols offer provable security guarantees against eavesdropping attacks. In this paper, we provide an overview of quantum cryptography, discussing its theoretical foundations, key protocols such as quantum key distribution (QKD), and experimental implementations. We highlight the advantages of quantum cryptography over classical cryptographic techniques and explore its potential applications in secure communication networks, financial transactions, and data privacy. Furthermore, we discuss ongoing research efforts and challenges in the practical deployment of quantum cryptography systems, including the development of robust quantum hardware and the integration of quantum cryptographic protocols into existing communication infrastructures. Overall, quantum cryptography holds great promise for enabling secure communication channels that are resilient to quantum attacks, paving the way for a new era of ultra-secure information exchange.
