Abstract

Time-dependent joint entropy is obtained for harmonic oscillator with the time-dependent mass and frequency case. It is calculated by using time-dependent wave function obtained via Feynman path integral method. Variation of time dependence is investigated for various cases.

Joint Entropy of the Harmonic Oscillator with Time Dependent Mass and Frequency

Ethem Aktürk, Ozcan, O., R. Sever

Time dependent entropy of harmonic oscillator with time dependent mass and frequency are investigated. The joint entropy so called Leipnik's entropy is calculated by using time dependent wave function obtained by the Feynman path integral method. It is shown that, Leipnik's entropy fluctuates with time. However in constant mass and time dependent frequency case, entropy increases monotonically with time.

Path Integral for a Harmonic Oscillator with Time-Dependent Mass and Frequency

Surarit Pepore, P. Winotai, Tanakorn Osotchan +1 more

The exact solutions to the time-dependent Schrodinger equation for a harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency were derived in a general form. The quantum mechanical propagator was calculated by the Feynman path integral method, while the wave function was derived from the spectral representation of the obtained propagator. It was shown that the propagator and the wave function depended on the s solution of a classical oscillator, in which the amplitude and phase satisfied the auxiliary equations. To demonstrate the derivation of the solution from our auxiliary equations, exponential and periodic functions of mass with constant frequency were imposed to evaluate the propagator and wave function for the Caldirola-Kanai and pulsating mass oscillators, respectively.

PATH INTEGRAL ANALYIS FOR TIME-DEPENDENT HARMONIC OSCILLATORS

Bancha Kirdmanee, Surarit Pepore, Bodinchat Sukbot

We demonstrate that the use of a space-time transformation in path integral can simplify the calculation of the propagator for a harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency. We show that such a propagator can be easily obtained from the unit mass and frequency propagator in the new space-time coordinate systems. Two cases of harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass, which exact propagator can be evaluated, are investigated.

WAVE FUNCTION OF THE TIME-DEPENDENT INVERTED HARMONIC OSCILLATOR

I. A. Pedrosa, I. Guedes

Time-dependent mass and frequency inverted harmonic oscillator is discussed in light of the Lewis and Reisenfeld invariant method. The wave function is found in terms of the Weber function. As an example, we derive the wave function of the inverted Caldirola-Kanai oscillator.

Time Dependent Entropy of Constant Force Motion

ÖZCAN, Özgür, AKTÜRK, Ethem, SEVER, Ramazan

Time dependent entropy of constant force motion is investigated. Obtained is the joint entropy, also known as the Leipnik entropy. The main purpose of this work is to calculate the Leipnik entropy via a time dependent wave function which is obtained by the Feynman path integral method. For this case it is found the Leipnik entropy increases with time, and is the same behavior as in the free particle case.

PROPAGATOR AND EXACT WAVE FUNCTION OF THE TIME DEPENDENTLY DAMPED HARMONIC OSCILLATOR

Ling Rui-liang, 常熟高等专科学校物理系,常熟215500

By means of canonical transformation,a direct quantization scheme is found for a harmonic oscillator whose damping coefficient is time-dependent.By adopting the Gaussian-type propagator and Feynman's path integral method, the exact wave function is derived. Some discussions made.
