Abstract

We consider stochastic second-order partial differential equations. We indroduce a noisy non-linear wave equation and discuss its connections, in particular via the Lorentz transformation, with known stochastic models.

Non-homogeneous Partial Differential Wave Equation for the Description of Correlated Pair States in the Microworld

Isayeva Elmira, Alireza Khalili Golmankhaneh

In this paper, a new non-homogeneous linear second-order partial differential equation (PDE) is proposed and investigated, designed to describe the dynamics of correlated pair objects of the microworld (analogues of Cooper pairs or biphotons). The fundamental complex solution of the proposed equation initially contains a spatial background and a doubled phase, which allows for a natural localization of the pair condensate in space. In this work, the continuity and energy balance equations are derived, the discrete spectrum in potential fields is calculated, and specific effects of tunneling and nonlinear interaction of the pair conglomerate with electromagnetic radiation are described.

Quantum Transformer BSDE Solver via Multi-Layer Fully-Connected Variational Quantum Circuits

Howard Su, Huan-Hsin Tseng, Chi-Sheng Chen +1 more

Solving high-dimensional parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) is important in engineering, physics, and stochastic control. Deep BSDE methods reformulate semilinear PDEs as backward stochastic differential equations and admit a model-based reinforcement learning interpretation, where trajectories are generated from known stochastic dynamics while a trainable model learns the gradient-related control process. We propose a Quantum Transformer BSDE solver based on Multi-Layer Fully-Connected Variational Quantum Circuits (FC-VQC). The method treats the normalized state trajectory as time--coordinate tokens and applies causal self-attention to learn interactions in the adapted BSDE gradient process. All trainable model parameters are contained within the FC-VQC embedding, projection, feed-forward, and decoder modules, while attention and structural operations remain classical and parameter-free. Experiments on three d=36 PDE benchmarks show that QTransformer consistently improves over the non-attentive FC-VQC baseline and outperforms the classical Transformer at compact hidden widths, while the wider classical Transformer achieves the best overall accuracy. These results demonstrate that combining causal attention with FC-VQC provides an effective quantum architecture for high-dimensional BSDE trajectory learning.

System of stochastic interacting wave functions that model quantum measurements

Carlos M. Mora

Abstract We develop a system of non-linear stochastic evolution equations that describes the continuous measurements of quantum systems with mixed initial state. We address quantum systems with unbounded Hamiltonians and unbounded interaction operators. Using arguments of the theory of quantum measurements we derive a system of stochastic interacting wave functions (SIWFs for short) that models the continuous monitoring of quantum systems. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution to this system under conditions general enough for the applications. We obtain that the mixed state generated by the SIWF at any time does not depend on the initial state, and satisfies the diffusive stochastic quantum master equation, which is also known as Belavkin equation. We present two physical examples. In one, the SIWF becomes a system of non-linear stochastic partial differential equations. In the other, we deal with a model of a circuit quantum electrodynamics.
