Abstract

We investigate the effect of dipole-dipole interaction on the intrinsic decoherence of a system which consists of two two-level atoms and an optical cavity. The entanglement of the system is calculated by making use of concurrence. Our results show that the appropriate choice for the coupling constant Ω of dipole-dipole interaction can restrain the intrinsic decoherence of the system. We also find a special phenomenon. No matter what the value of γ is, the concurrence of system slowly increases and cannot exceed 0.71 when Ω = 1.

Intrinsic Decoherence of Two Atoms System With Kerr Medium

Xiaoting Zhang, Ai‐Dong Zhu, Zhang Shou

We study the effect of Kerr medium on the intrinsic decoherence of a system which consists of two two-level atoms and a optical cavity. The entanglement of the system is calculated by making use of concurrence. Our results show that the intrinsic decoherence is very sensitive to the nonlinear coupling constant of Kerr medium. Both the oscillation period and the amplitude of the concurrence increase with the increasing nonlinear coupling constant.

The influence of Kerr medium on the intrinsic decoherence under the condition of existence of dipole-dipole interaction

Lin-Na Qi, Zhang Shou, 延边大学理学院物理系,延吉 133002

We investigate the influence of Kerr medium on the concurrence of the two-atom system under the condition of existence of dipole-dipole interaction. The entanglement of the system is calculated by making use of concurrence. We discuss the variation of the concurrence with time. The result shows that the appropriate choice for the nonlinear coupling constant χ of Kerr medium can improve the concurrence of the system and restrain effectively the intrinsic decoherence of the system. We also find that with respect to increasing concurrence, the multiple Λ may take different values as Ω varyies.

Quantum Entanglement of Two Atoms Inside an Optical Cavity

Shangbin Li, Jing‐Bo Xu

We investigate the system, which consists of two two-level atoms confined in a linear trap which has been surrounded by an optical cavity, with the Milburn model of intrinsic decoherence, and find an explicit analytical solution of the Milburn equation. The entanglement between the two atoms is then calculated by making use of concurrence. The influence of intrinsic decoherence on the entanglement is also discussed.

Intrinsic decoherence of entanglement of a single quantized field interacting with a two-level atom

Bin Shao

How the mean photon number, the probability of excited state and intrinsic decoherence coefficient influence the time evolution of entanglement is unknown, when a single-mode quantized optic field and a two-level atom coupling system is governed by Milburn equation. The Jaynes-Cummings model is considered.A lower bound of concurrence is proposed to calculate the entanglement.Simulation results indicate that the entanglement of system increases following the increasing of intrinsic decoherence coefficient or the decreasing of the mean photon number.Besides that, the entanglement of the system decreases, while the probability of the exited state increases from 0 to 0.1,and increases, while the probability of the exited state increases from 0.1 to 1.

Tradeoff Relations Between Intrinsic Concurrence and First-Order Coherence of Two-Qubit Cavity System: Qubit–Dipole Coupling and Decoherence Effects

Mostafa Hashem, Abdel‐Baset A. Mohamed, H. A. Hessian +3 more

An analytical exploration of the phase decoherence equation of two qubits interacting with a coherent field with dipole–dipole interaction is introduced. The study examines the tradeoff relationships between intrinsic concurrence and first-order coherence in the qubits–cavity system while considering the impacts of decoherence and the interactions among the qubits. We affirm that the relationship between intrinsic concurrence and first-order coherence is valid. Additionally, we demonstrate that the minimum limit of intrinsic concurrence is universally applicable, although the upper limit is typically not. These connections in Heisenberg models can provide a means by which to investigate how quantum resources are allocated in spins, potentially leading to future applications in quantum information processing. It is partially but not completely possible to control the tradeoff relations between intrinsic concurrence and first-order coherence of the two-qubit cavity system; this control might involve actions that influence the system and are reflected in intrinsic concurrence and first-order coherence.
