TWO-DIMENSIONAL QUARTER-FILLED EXTENDED HUBBARD MODEL AT STRONG COUPLING

W. F. Lee, Hua Lin

In this paper, we generalized the perturbation approach to study the quasi-two-dimension extended Hubbard model. This model is characterizing by intra-chain electron hopping t, on-site Column interaction U, nearest-neighbor interaction V, and inter-chain electron hopping t′ and nearest-neighbor interaction V′. An effective Hamiltonian up to sixth-order in t/U, t/V, t/V′, t′/U, t′/V and t′/V′ expansion was obtained and the spin-spin correlation functions were calculated. We presented results for t=t′, V=V′.

STABILITY OF PHOTOINDUCED SUPERCONDUCTING STATES IN STRONGLY CORRELATED TWO-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRON SYSTEMS

We theoretically investigate the properties of multiphoton excited states in strongly correlated two-dimensional electron systems at half-filling using the extended Hubbard model in the strong correlation case. We find that the photoinduced d-wave superconducting states are stable against the nearest neighbor Coulomb interaction within the realistic Coulomb parameters.

THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF THE ONE-DIMENSIONAL EXTENDED HUBBARD MODEL (Ⅱ)——U<0

XU HUI, Kaiyi Zhang, (1)东北工学院物理系; (2)中南矿冶学院数理系

Entropy, internal energy, specific heat, and magnetic susceptibility of the one-dimensional negative-U extended Hubbard model are computed. An analytical solution of magnetic susceptibility in the strong-coupling (|U|→∞) limit is obtained. Therma-dynamic properties of the system can be discussed in two temperature regions. The high T-region corresponds to decrease in number of double occupied states. The low T-region corresponds to the distribution of electron charge. The effect of W on the-rmodynamic properties is obvious.
