Abstract

This paper derives energy level formula for two moving charged particles with Coulomb coupling by making full use of two mutually conjugate entangled state representations. These newly introduced entangled state representations seem to provide a direct and convenient approach for solving certain dynamical problems for two-body systems.

Wavefunction and energy level formula for two charged particles with magnetic interaction

Hong-Yi Fan, Liang Fu

We derive the wavefunction and energy level formula for two charged particles with magnetic interaction, i.e., the Hamiltonian includes both two-body Coulomb interaction and a kinetic coupling. It is by virtue of the EPR entangled state representation we can conveniently derive the exact result.

〈ξ| Representation of the Inverse of Two-Particle Relative Position and Its Application

Fan Hong-Yi, Fan Yue

We derive the 〈ξ| representation of the inverse of two particles' relative position which turns out to be an integration operation on the representation and is related to two particles' masses. The representation is useful in conveniently solving energy level formula for some dynamic systems.

Density matrix of two interacting particles with kinetic coupling derived in bipartite entangled state representation

Qin Guo

A density matrix is usually obtained by solving the Bloch equation, however only a few Hamiltonians' density matrices can be analytically derived. The density matrix for two interacting particles with kinetic coupling is hard to derive by the usual method due to this coupling; this paper solves this problem by using the bipartite entangled state representation.

Entanglement dynamics via coherent-state propagators

A. D. Ribeiro, R. M. Angelo

The dynamical generation of entanglement in closed bipartite systems is investigated in the semiclassical regime. We consider a model of two particles, initially prepared in a product of coherent states, evolving in time according to a generic Hamiltonian, and derive a formula for the linear entropy of the reduced density matrix using the semiclassical propagator in the coherent-state representation. The formula is explicitly written in terms of quantities that define the stability of classical trajectories of the underlying classical system. The formalism is then applied to the problem of two nonlinearly coupled harmonic oscillators, and the result is shown to be in remarkable agreement with the exact quantum measure of entanglement in the short-time regime. An important by-product of our approach is a unified semiclassical formula, which contemplates both the coherent-state propagator and its complex conjugate.

CONVOLUTION THEOREM OF THE COMPLEX FRACTIONAL FOURIER TRANSFORMATION DERIVED BY TRANSFORMATION OF ENTANGLED STATES

Hong-Yi Fan, Lu Hai-Liang, Hao Ren

Based on our previous paper [H.-Y. Fan and H.-L. Lu, Int. J. Mod. Phys.19, 799 (2005)] and the two mutually-conjugate entangled state representations, we derive the convolution theorem of complex fractional Fourier transformation in the context of quantum mechanics. This approach seems convenient and neat.
