The possibility to describe hybrid systems containing classical and quantum subsystems by means of conditional tomographic probability distributions (tomograms) is discussed. Tomographic Shannon and Rényi entropies associated with the tomograms are studied, and new tomographic uncertainty relations are obtained.
We review the probabilistic representation of quantum mechanics within which states are described by the probability distribution rather than by the wavefunction and density matrix. Uncertainty relations have been obtained in the form of integral inequalities containing measurable optical tomograms of quantum states. Formulas for the transition probabilities and purity parameter have been derived in terms of the tomographic probability distributions. Inequalities for Shannon and Rényi entropies associated with quantum tomograms have been obtained. A scheme of the star product of tomograms has been developed.
A review of the tomographic-probability representation of classical and quantum states is presented. The tomographic entropies and entropic uncertainty relations are discussed in connection with ambiguities in the interpretation of the state tomograms which are considered either as a set of the probability distributions of random variables depending on extra parameters or as a single joint probability distribution of these random variables and random parameters with specific properties of the marginals. Examples of optical tomograms of photon states, symplectic tomograms, and unitary spin tomograms of qudits are given. A new universal integral inequality for generic wave function is obtained on the base of tomographic entropic uncertainty relations.
For noncomposite systems in classical and quantum domains, we obtain new inequalities such as the subadditivity and strong subadditivity conditions for Shannon entropies and information determined by the probability distributions and for von Neumann entropies of quantum states determined by the density operators. We extend the relations of Shannon and Tsallis entropies to the entropies of conditional probability distributions known for composite systems to the case of noncomposite systems. We give a review of the approach to construct the tomographic-probability distributions for qudit systems and present the entropic and information inequalities for spin tomograms, as well as the subadditivity and strong subadditivity conditions for tomograms of the both noncomposite and composite system states.
Semigroups of stochastic and bistochastic matrices constructed by means of spin tomograms or tomographic probabilities and their relations to the problem of Bell's inequalities and entanglement are reviewed. The probability determining the quantum state of spins and the probability densities determining the quantum states of particles with continuous variables are considered. Entropies for semigroups of stochastic and bisctochastic matrices are studied, in view of both the Shannon information entropy and its generalization like Rényi entropy. Qubit portraits of qudit states are discussed in the connection with the problem of Bell's inequality violation for entangled states.
