Interaction of negative ions with vortices in superfluid3He-B

The interaction potential of negative ions with vortices in3He-B is calculated in the Ginzburg-Landau regime. The authors contrast ion trapping by the two different kinds of possible vortex structures, those with normal and superfluid core. Ion experiments are suggested to provide useful new information on the vortex transition in rotating3He-B.
