Abstract

We discuss the higher-dimensional solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation and reflection equation in the elliptic case. The Hamiltonian of a spin-1 quantum anisotropic chain with non-trivial boundary term is given.

Integrable XYZ spin chain with boundaries

T. Inami, Hitoshi Konno

We consider a general class of boundary terms of the open XYZ spin-1/2 chain compatible with integrability. We have obtained the general elliptic solution of a K-matrix obeying the boundary Yang-Baxter equation using the R-matrix of the eight-vertex model and derived the associated integrable spin-chain Hamiltonian.

Reflection K-Matrices of the 19-Vertex Model and XXZ Spin-1 Chain with General Boundary Terms

Takeo Inami, Satoru Odake, Yao-Zhong Zhang

We derive and classify all solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation (or the reflection equation) for the 19-vertex model associated with U_q(\\widehat{sl_2}). Integrable XXZ spin-1 chain hamiltonian with general boundary interactions is also obtained.

Some special solutions to the reflection equation are considered. These boundary matrices are defined on the common quantum space with the other operators in the chain. All regular $4 \times 4$ solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation

Luke Corcoran, Marius de Leeuw

We complete the classification of 4×4 regular solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. Apart from previously known models, we find four new models of non-difference form. All the new models give rise to Hamiltonians and transfer matrices that have a non-trivial Jordan block structure. One model corresponds to a non-diagonalisable integrable deformation of the XXX spin chain.

Solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation for isotropic quantum spin chains

T Kennedy

The author considers solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation such that the logarithmic derivative of the transfer matrix yields a quantum spin Hamiltonian which is isotropic in spin space, i.e. SU(2)-invariant. Four such solutions are known for each value of the spin S. (For S=1/2 they degenerate into the same solution, and for S=1 they only give three different solutions). For S<or=6 he shows that these are the only solutions which are SU(2)-invariant, except for S=3 when there is a fifth solution.
