Entanglement in Two-Mode Cavity QED

Abstract

’We investigate entanglement in an open quantum system, specifically in bipartite and tripartite systems of two dimensions for weak and strong fields based on numerical calculations. We address a systematic approach in calculating a tripartite entanglement using concurrence as a measure of entanglement based on a direct detection scheme (quantum jump method - with and without knowledge of which qubit jumps). We are also numerically calculating entanglement when one can and the ’Three-way tangle’ or ’Residual Entanglement’ approaches. We present significant differences of the concurrences of the various bipartite splits among the results of two ways of direct detection scheme and when a phase is introduced in the coupling term of the energy.

Bipartite and Tripartite Entanglement for Three Damped Driven Qubits

, We investigate tripartite entanglement in an open quantum system, specifically three qubits, all of which are damped, and one of which is driven. We address a systematic approach in calculating the entanglement of various bipartite splits using concurrence as a measure of entanglement Our calculations are based on a direct detection scheme (quantum jump method - with and without knowledge of which qubit jumps) that is a particular unravelling of the density matrix. Our results are unravelling dependent, but apply to applications of entanglement based on direct detection. We also calculate the ’Three-way tangle’ or ’Residual Entanglement’ for this system. We present calculations for a variety of driving and damping rates, and examine what decay rate is adequate for the system to be reduced to two qubits with a readout port. We also consider how knowledge (or not) of which qubit decays affects the entanglement.

Bipartite and Tripartite Entanglement for Three Damped Driven Qubits

We investigate bipartite and tripartite entanglement in an open quantum system, specifically three qubits, all of which are damped, and one of which is driven. We adapt a systematic approach in calculating the entanglement of various bipartite splits usinga generalized concurrence as an indicator of entanglement. Our calculations are based on a direct detection scheme that is a particular unravelling of the density matrix. This system has a collective dipole-dipole energy shift that couples the atoms and the dissipation is via partially collective spontaneous emission described by the Lehmberg-Agarwal master equation. Our results are unravelling dependent, but apply to applications of entanglement based on direct detection. We also calculate the three-way tangle or residual entanglement for this system. We present calculations for a variety of driving and damping rates, and examine what decay rate is adequate for the system to be reduced to two qubits with a readout port. We also consider a specific model of three atoms located at particular positions in free space.

Bipartite and tripartite entanglement in the two-qubit quantum Rabi model

毛丽君, Hongmei 红梅 Wang 王, Yaoyao Zhou +1 more

Abstract This study investigates the entanglement dynamics of the two-qubit quantum Rabi model (QRM) with both homogeneous and inhomogeneous couplings using the adiabatic approximation. The quantized field is initially prepared in a coherent state, while a separable state and a maximally entangled Bell state are selected as the initial two-qubit states. We characterize distinct types of entanglement generated among the subsystems through qubit–field interactions, with a focus on the bipartite entanglement between a single qubit and the field. Building on this, we examine tripartite correlations through the I -residual tangle, a measure that conclusively verifies the presence of genuine tripartite entanglement among the two qubits and the field. This work provides insights into the generation of tunable multipartite entanglement and the detection of quantum phase transitions in light–matter systems, such as circuit quantum electrodynamics (QED).

Dinâmica do emaranhamento num sistema tripartite

Manoel Pedro de Araujo

The proposal of this work is to study the bipartite entanglement between two constituents of a tripartite closed system, in the sense that there is no energy loss. The system consists of a pair of two-level atoms with equal transitions and one electromagnetic field mode in a cavity, with one of the atoms interacting with the field mode via Jaynes-Cummings interaction. We study the time evolution of entanglement between the two atoms, quantified by Wootters concurrence. The influence of initial state of the field in the appearance of singularities in this time evolution is discussed. Since concurrence is hard to determine experimentally, wedefine two directly measurable observables which, for the special initial conditions we study, can follow the entanglement behavior: the correlation operator, given by the product of the population inversions, and the Bell operator. We study the effects of initial states given bysuperpositions of two Fock states

Entanglement in a Cavity QED system with a multi-level atom in a weakly driven two-mode cavity

James Clemens, Perry R. Rice, R. Olson +2 more

For a 4-level atom in a weakly driven 2-mode cavity, we explore the entanglement between the atom, and the field modes. We explore the relation between various cross-correlation functions and the usual measures of entanglement.

Tri-partite entanglement in neutrino oscillations

Abhishek Kumar Jha, Supratik Mukherjee, Bindu A. Bambah

We investigate and quantify bipartite and tripartite entanglement measures in two- and three-flavor neutrino oscillations. The bipartite entanglement is analogous to the entanglement swapping resulting from a beam splitter in quantum optics. We calculate various entanglement measures, such as the concurrence, negativity, and three-tangle for the three-neutrino system. The significant result is that a monogamy inequality in terms of negativity leads to a residual entanglement, implying genuine tripartite entanglement in the three-neutrino system. We establish an analogy of the three-neutrino state with a generalized W-state class in quantum optics.
