SU (d)-INVARIANT MULTIDIMENSIONAL q-OSCILLATORS WITH BOSONIC DEGENERACY

Abstract

Multidimensional two-parameter (q1, q2)-oscillators are of two kinds: one is invariant under the (ordinary) Lie group SU (d), whereas the other is invariant under the quantum group SU q(d) where q = q1/q2. It is shown that the q1 = q2 limit of both of these two-parameter oscillators coincide and give the q-deformed Newton oscillator which can be derived from the standard quantum harmonic oscillator Newton equation. The bosonic degeneracies of the excited levels of these oscillators are different for q1 ≠ q2, but coincide in the q1 = q2 limit.

A q-OSCILLATOR WITH "ACCIDENTAL" DEGENERACY OF ENERGY LEVELS

Alexandre M. Gavrilik, A. P. Rebesh

We study main features of the exotic case of q-deformed oscillators (so-called Tamm–Dancoff cutoff oscillator) and find some special properties: (i) degeneracy of the energy levels En1 = En1 + 1, n1 ≥ 1, at the real value[Formula: see text] of deformation parameter, as well as the occurrence of other degeneracies En1 = En1 + k, for k ≥ 2, at the corresponding values of q which depend on both n1 and k; (ii) the position and momentum operators X and Pcommute on the state|n1> if q is fixed as [Formula: see text], that implies unusual uncertainty relation; (iii) two commuting copies of the creation, annihilation, and number operators of this q-oscillator generate the corresponding q-deformation of the non-simple Lie algebra su(2) ⊕ u(1)whose nontrivial q-deformed commutation relation is: [J+, J-] = 2J0q2J3-1 where [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text].

PLETHORA OF q-OSCILLATORS POSSESSING PAIRWISE ENERGY LEVEL DEGENERACY

Alexandre M. Gavrilik, A. P. Rebesh

Using the q, p-deformed oscillators as basic generating system, we obtain diverse classes (which form distinct sectors of functional continua) of novel versions of q-deformed oscillators, all of which share the property of "accidental" degeneracy within a fixed pair of energy levels Em = Em+1, m ≥ 1, occurring at the real deformation parameter fixed by an appropriate value q(m) that depends on m and on particular model. Likewise, the degeneracy E0 = Ek (where k ≥ 2) takes place, for properly fixed q = q(k), in most of those models. The formerly studied model of q-oscillator known as the Tamm–Dancoff cutoff deformed oscillator is contained in the continua as isolated special case.

SU(1,2) invariance in two-dimensional oscillator

S. Krivonos, Armen Nersessian

Performing the Hamiltonian analysis we explicitly established the canonical equivalence of the deformed oscillator, constructed in arXiv:1607.03756[hep-th], with the ordinary one. As an immediate consequence, we proved that the SU(1,2) symmetry is the dynamical symmetry of the ordinary two-dimensional oscillator. The characteristic feature of this SU(1,2) symmetry is a non-polynomial structure of its generators written it terms of the oscillator variables.

Harmonic oscillator with nonzero minimal uncertainties in both position and momentum in a SUSYQM framework

C. Quesne, V. M. Tkachuk

In the context of a two-parameter (α, β) deformation of the canonical commutation relation leading to nonzero minimal uncertainties in both position and momentum, the harmonic oscillator spectrum and eigenvectors are determined by using an extension of the techniques of conventional supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) combined with shape invariance under parameter scaling. The resulting supersymmetric partner Hamiltonians correspond to different masses and frequencies. The exponential spectrum is proved to reduce to a previously found quadratic spectrum whenever one of the parameters α, β vanishes, in which case shape invariance under parameter translation occurs. In the special case where α = β ≠ 0, the oscillator Hamiltonian is shown to coincide with that of the q -deformed oscillator with q > 1 and its eigenvectors are therefore n - q -boson states. In the general case where 0 ≠ α ≠ β ≠ 0, the eigenvectors are constructed as linear combinations of n - q -boson states by resorting to a Bargmann representation of the latter and to q -differential calculus. They are finally expressed in terms of a q -exponential and little q -Jacobi polynomials.

A q-deformed oscillator system with quantum group SLq(l) symmetry

Chang-Pu Sun, Xu‐Feng Liu, Jing-fa Lu +1 more

A q-deformed oscillator system with quantum group SL q (l) symmetry is constructed in terms of the q-deformed boson operators. The energy level degeneracy associated with the irreducible representation of SL q (l) is analysed, especially for the case that q is a root of unity.

Bose–Einstein condensation in a gas of the bosonic Newton oscillators

Abdullah Algin, Emine Arslan

The multi-dimensional q -deformed bosonic Newton oscillator algebra with U ( d )-symmetry is considered. The high- and low-temperature thermostatistical properties of a gas of the q -deformed bosonic Newton oscillators are obtained in the thermodynamical limit. It is shown that the Bose–Einstein condensation occurs in such a gas for values of the real deformation parameter q smaller than 1. However, the ordinary boson gas results can be recovered in the limit q = 1.
