Linearized Version of the Hartree-Fock Method

Abstract

An approximate version of the Hartree-Fock method is proposed. This approximate version involves the solution of a set of linear equations. An application to a solvable model with a nontrivial Hartree-Fock solution yields good results.

A systematic procedure that allows for corrections of arbitrary order to the time-dependent Hartree-Fock approach is presented and illustrated with reference to an exactly solvable U(3) model. Substantial improvements over the uncorrelated picture are obtained.
