We consider a locally interacting Fermi gas in its natural non-equilibrium steady state and prove the Quantum Central Limit Theorem (QCLT) for a large class of observables. A special case of our results concerns finitely many free Fermi gas reservoirs coupled by local interactions. The QCLT for flux observables, together with the Green-Kubo formulas and the Onsager reciprocity relations previously established [JOP4], complete the proof of the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem and the development of linear response theory for this class of models. The operation of transposing particles (or holes) on one side of a Fermi surface into holes (or particles) on the other side is shown to be a symmetry operation of the Bardeen, Cooper, and Schrieffer reduced Hamiltonian, and an approximate symmetry operation of the full two-particle scalar interaction Hamiltonian, insofar as particle-conserving collective excitations are concerned. Calling this operation
f inversion, and the conserved quantity associated with it
f parity, the zero-rest-energy collective excitations in a Fermi gas with weak attractive interactions prove to have $f\mathrm{parity}=\ensuremath{-}1$.
We study a single component Fermi gas near a p -wave resonance with the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) method. We obtain the energy per particle for the ground state of the single component Fermi gas near a p -wave resonance with the LOCV method. We also calculate the compressibility of the single component Fermi gas near a p -wave resonance and it shows that in the strongly interacting BCS side, the system would lose its stability and collapse. The width of the unstable region is proportional to the Fermi energy which reflects the universality of the dilute Fermi gas. The two p -wave contacts are also obtained and their variation tendencies with the interaction strength are qualitatively in agreement with recent experimental results.
