A TEST FOR THE MANY WORLDS INTERPRETATION?

Paul Bruney

Abstract

A feasible quantum means for laboratory testing the time-translation theory by Aharonov et al. has previously been proposed. If such tests prove successful, a modified test based on this model is suggested to further investigate anticipated behavioral characteristics of the Many Worlds Interpretation and quantum decoherence.

A PRACTICAL QUANTUM MEANS FOR TESTING THE TIME-TRANSLATION THEORY?

Paul Bruney

The time-dilations that arise during quantum tunneling appear applicable to the time-translation thought experiment by Aharonov et al. It may be feasible to actually perform a test for communicating in reverse-time as described by Cramer.

Proposed Photon Interference Experiment for Test of Quantum Measurement Theories

Yoshitomi Morikawa, Mikio Namiki, Yoshié Otake

We propose a possible experimental test of quantum measurement theories by means of a photon interference experiment, focusing on distinction between the many-Hilbert-spaces theory and the environment-induced-superselection-rule theory or the many-worlds interpretation.

Quantum Buzzwords

James B. Hartle

Many scientists seeking to understand the quantum mechanics of measurement situations (Copenhagen quantum theory) agree on its overwhelmingly successful algorithms to predict the outcomes of laboratory measurements but disagree on what these algorithms mean and how they are to be interpreted. Some of these problems are briefly described and resolutions suggested from the decoherent (or consistent) histories quantum mechanics of closed systems like the Universe.

MODAL SEMANTICS MODIFIED TO REPRESENT MANY-WORLDS INTERPRETATION OF QUANTUM MECHANICS

I. Petik

This short paper proposes the project of a modal logical semantics that will represent not the classical modalities but the many-worlds interpretation for the physical theory of quantum mechanics. It also views some problematic methodological questions of the doctrine such as measurement and a role of an interpreter. Special attention is given to the famous paradoxes of the QM such as EPR Paradox and Schrodinger’s Cat. The paper will be interesting for logicians, physicists and philosophers of science.

PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS FORMULTI-WORLDS INTERPRETATION OF QUANTUM MECHANICS.

The multi-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, starting from the realism, opposes the reduction of wave function in Copenhagen interpretation and aims to search for what happens after the measurements
