Electron-Phonon Interaction and Antiferromagnetic Correlations

We study effects of the Coulomb repulsion on the electron-phonon interaction (EPI) in the Holstein-Hubbard model, using the antiferromagnetic (AF) dynamical mean-field approximation. AF correlations strongly enhance EPI effects on the electron Green's function with respect to the paramagnetic correlated system, but the net effect of the Coulomb interaction is a moderate suppression of the EPI. Doping leads to additional suppression. In contrast, the Coulomb interaction strongly suppresses EPI effects on phonons, but the suppression weakens with doping.

Phonon-inducedd-wave pairing in the two-dimensional Hubbard model

Marcin Mierzejewski, J. Zieliński

We discuss phonon-induced anisotropic superconductivity of strongly correlated quasiparticles within the two-dimensional Hubbard model. The generalized Fr\"olich-like canonical transformation leads to pairing interactions that become repulsive for vanishing concentration of holes but are attractive at low dopings. Our results indicate that the electron-phonon coupling in the presence of strong electron-electron correlations favors the formation of d-wave superconductivity.

Interplay of electron-phonon interaction and strong correlations: DMFT+Σ study

É. Z. Kuchinskiǐ, I. A. Nekrasov, Michael V. Sadovskii

We perform investigation of the Hubbard model with interaction between strongly correlated conducting electrons on a lattice with Debye phonons. To solve the problem generalized dynamical mean-field $\text{DMFT}+\ensuremath{\Sigma}$ method is employed with ``external'' self-energy ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}_{ph}$ corresponding to electron-phonon interaction. We present $\text{DMFT}+{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}_{ph}$ results for densities of states and kinks in energy dispersions for a variety of model parameters, analyzing the interplay of recently discovered kinks of purely electronic nature and usual phonon kinks in the electronic spectrum.
