Quantum Fourier Transform Simulation on Sunway TaihuLight

Xiaonan Liu, Lina Jing, Lixin Wang +1 more

Quantum Fourier Transform is a key part of many quantum computing, and it involves phase estimation, ordering and factoring. Especially in large number decomposition, periodic data can be transformed into a normal distribution of probability amplitudes. If Quantum Fourier Transform can be implemented on a large scale, it will be a threat to the security of the current RSA cryptosystem. However, the physical implementation of quantum computers currently faces many difficulties, and it is still far away from quantum computers that can exert huge computing power. Therefore, it can only be simulated by classical computers. This article uses the supercomputer independently developed by China, Sunway TaihuLight, to simulate the Quantum Fourier Transform. Based on the heterogeneous and parallel characteristics of SW26010 processor, 46 qubits Quantum Fourier Transform are simulated using MPI, the acceleration thread library, calculation and communication hiding strategy, with the acceleration ratio reaching 6.45 times.

Implementation of Period-Finding Algorithm by Means of Simulating Quantum Fourier Transform

Moghareh Abed Zohreh, Mohsen Ashorian, Kiumars Ghowsi

In this paper, we introduce quantum fourier transform as a key ingredient for many useful algorithms. These algorithms make a solution for problems which is considered to be intractable problems on a classical computer. Quantum Fourier transform is propounded as a key for quantum phase estimation algorithm. In this paper our aim is the implementation of period-finding algorithm.Quantum computer solves this problem, exponentially faster than classical one. Quantum phase estimation algorithm is the key for the period-finding problem .Therefore, by means of simulating quantum Fourier transform, we are able to implement the period-finding algorithm. In this paper, the simulation of quantum Fourier transform is carried out by Matlab software.

Quantum Fourier Transform Circuit Simulator

Víctor H. Téllez, Antonio Campero, Cristina Iuga +2 more

Quantum Fourier transform is of primary importance in many quantum algorithms. This paper presents the development of a Quantum Fourier Transform Circuit Simulator system that processes classical analog signals and presents the results of the processing data. The data is acquired by an analog to digital classical converter, on a classical computer. The data stored is processed by computer using an algorithm that executes a Quantum Fast Fourier Transform (QFT).
