Abstract

The multipartite entanglement transfer from continuous variable system to spin qubits is investigated. We select multi-mode coherent field as continuous variable field. It is found that the qubits can not gain tripartite entanglement for states of close to GHZ state from the multi-mode coherent field. Moreover, the ability of the qubits gain the tripartite entanglement for states close to W state and bipartite entanglement from the continuous variable system is depended on the phase of multi-mode coherent field.

Application of Bipartite and Tripartite Entangled State Representations in Quantum Teleportation of Continuous Variables

Hong‐Chun Yuan, Qi Kai-Guo

We mostly investigate two schemes. One is to teleport a multi-mode W-type entangled coherent state using a peculiar bipartite entangled state as the quantum channel different from other proposals. Based on our formalism, teleporting multi-mode coherent state or squeezed state is also possible. Another is that the tripartite entangled state is used as the quantum channel of controlled teleportation of an arbitrary and unknown continuous variable in the case of three participators.

Improving the entanglement transfer from continuous-variable systems to localized qubits using non-Gaussian states

Federico Casagrande, ALFREDO LULLI, Matteo G. A. Paris

We investigate the entanglement transfer from a bipartite continuous-variable (CV) system to a pair of localized qubits assuming that each CV mode couples to one qubit via the off-resonance Jaynes-Cummings interaction with different interaction times for the two subsystems. First, we consider the case of the CV system prepared in a Bell-like superposition and investigate the conditions for maximum entanglement transfer. Then we analyze the general case of two-mode CV states that can be represented by a Schmidt decomposition in the Fock number basis. This class includes both Gaussian and non-Gaussian CV states, as, for example, twin-beam (TWB) and pair-coherent (TMC, also known as two-mode-coherent) states, respectively. Under resonance conditions, equal interaction times for both qubits and different initial preparations, we find that the entanglement transfer is more efficient for TMC than for TWB states. In the perspective of applications such as in cavity QED or with superconducting qubits, we analyze in detail the effects of off-resonance interactions (detuning) and different interaction times for the two qubits, and discuss conditions to preserve the entanglement transfer.

Multipartite entanglement

Peter van Loock, Samuel L. Braunstein

First, we show how the quantum circuits for generating and measuring multi-party entanglement of qubits can be translated to continuous quantum variables. We derive sufficient inseparability criteria for $N$-party continuous-variable states and discuss their applicability. Then, we consider a family of multipartite entangled states (multi-party multi-mode states with one mode per party) described by continuous quantum variables and analyze their properties. These states can be efficiently generated using squeezed light and linear optics.

Faithful entanglement transference from qubits to continuous variable systems

P Blanco, Douglas F. Mundarain

In this work, we study the transference of entanglement between atomic qubits and the fields of two separate optical cavities. We show that it is possible to transfer all the entanglement of two maximal entangled qubits to the fields of the cavities without post-selection. Initially, the qubit system is in a maximal entangled state and the cavities are in a pure separable state with each cavity in a coherent state. For high excitation levels in the coherent fields, at some characteristic time T, the state of the qubit system becomes separable and at this time all the entanglement is deposited on the mono-modal fields of the cavities. We also consider retrieval of entanglement and an alternative protocol using post-selection.

Continuous-Variable Quantum Teleportation of Entangled Coherent States

Sun Yong, Man Zhong-Xiao, Yun‐Jie Xia

We propose a quantum teleportation scheme for tripartite entangled coherent state (ECS) with continuous variable. Our scheme is feasible and economical in the sense that we need only linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photon detectors and employ three bipartite maximally ECSs as quantum channels. We also generalize the tripartite scheme into multipartite case and calculate the minimum average fidelity for the schemes in tripartite and multipartite cases.
