Abstract

Abstract We propose a new system of quantum cryptography for internet security using Gaussian pulses propagating within a nonlinear ring resonator system, quantum processor, and a wavelength router. To increase the channel capacity and security, the multiplexer is operated incorporating a quantum processing unit via an optical multiplexer. The transmission part can be used to generate the high capacity quantum codes within the series of microring resonators and an add/drop filter. The receiver part can be communicated by using the quantum key (quantum bit, qubit) via a wavelength router and quantum processors. The reference states can be recognized by using the cloning unit, which is operated by the add/drop filter, where the communication between Alice and Bob can be performed. Results obtained have shown that the correlated photons can be generated and formed the entangled photon pair, which is allowed to form the secret key between Alice and Bob. In application, the embedded system within the computer processing unit is available for quantum computer. Furthermore, such a concept is also available for internet application via hybrid communications, for instance, wire/wireless, satellite, which can be used to form the internet security. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Multi-users Quantum Key Distribution Via Wavelength Routers in an Optical Network

Preecha P. Yupapin, Somsak Mitatha

We propose a new system of a continuous variable quantum key distribution via a wavelength router in the optical networks. A large bandwidth signal is generated by a soliton pulse propagating within the micro ring resonator, which is allowed to form the continuous wavelength with large tunable channel capacity. Two forms of soliton pulses are generated and localized, i.e. temporal and spatial solitons. The required information can be transmitted via the spatial soliton while the continuous variable quantum key distribution is formed by using the temporal one. This is formed by using an optical add/drop multiplexer incorporated in the optical network, where the localized soliton pulses are available for add/drop signals to/from the optical network. The high security and capacity information can be performed. Keywords: Wavelength router, quantum router, quantum network, high capacity network

QKD via a quantum wavelength router using spatial soliton

Mojgan Kouhnavard, Iraj Sadegh Amiri, Muhammad Arif Bin Jalil +3 more

A system for continuous variable quantum key distribution via a wavelength router is proposed. The Kerr type of light in the nonlinear microring resonator (NMRR) induces the chaotic behavior. In this proposed system chaotic signals are generated by an optical soliton or Gaussian pulse within a NMRR system. The parameters, such as input power, MRRs radii and coupling coefficients can change and plays important role in determining the results in which the continuous signals are generated spreading over the spectrum. Large bandwidth signals of optical soliton are generated by the input pulse propagating within the MRRs, which is allowed to form the continuous wavelength or frequency with large tunable channel capacity. The continuous variable QKD is formed by using the localized spatial soliton pulses via a quantum router and networks. The selected optical spatial pulse can be used to perform the secure communication network. Here the entangled photon generated by chaotic signals has been analyzed. The continuous entangled photon is generated by using the polarization control unit incorporating into the MRRs, required to provide the continuous variable QKD. Results obtained have shown that the application of such a system for the simultaneous continuous variable quantum cryptography can be used in the mobile telephone hand set and networks. In this study frequency band of 500 MHz and 2.0 GHz and wavelengths of 775 nm, 2,325 nm and 1.55 μm can be obtained for QKD use with input optical soliton and Gaussian beam respectively.

Multi optical Soliton generated by PANDA ring resonator for secure network communication

Iraj Sadegh Amiri, M. Ranjbar, Ali Nikoukar +3 more

In this study, new system of quantum cryptography for network communication is proposed. Multi optical Soliton can be generated and propagate via a nonlinear modified add/drop interferometer system incorporated with a time division multiple access (TDMA) system wherein the transportation of quantum codes is performed. To increase the channel capacity and security of the signals, the PANDA ring resonator is proposed. Chaotic output signals from the PANDA ring resonator are input into the add/drop filter system. Chaotic signals can be filtered by using the add/drop filter system in which multi dark and bright solitons can be obtained and used to generate entangled quantum codes for internet security. In this study soliton pulses with FWHM and FSR of 325 pm and 880 nm are generated, respectively, where the Gaussian pulse with a centre wavelength of 1.55 μm and power of 600 mW is input into the system.
