Abstract

This study uses the Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ)-like state to establish an entanglement swapping protocol on a pure GHZ state. A quantum circuit is proposed to assist in teleporting the entanglement of the pure GHZ state. Furthermore, on the basis of the generation of the GHZ-like state, an improved protocol to reduce the number of transmitted photons required in the process of entanglement swapping is proposed.

Multi-system entanglement swapping for Bell states and Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states

Zhaoxu Ji, Peiru Fan, Huanguo Zhang

We introduce a class of multi-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states, and study entanglement swapping between two qubit systems for Bell states and for the class of GHZ states, respectively. We generalize the bi-system entanglement swapping of Bell states and multi-particle GHZ states to any number of qubit systems. We further study the entanglement swapping schemes between any number of Bell states and between any number of the introduced GHZ states in a detailed way, and propose the schemes that can generate two identical GHZ states. We illustrate the applications of such schemes in quantum information processing by proposing quantum protocols for quantum key distribution, quantum secret sharing and quantum private comparison.

Experimental Multiparticle Entanglement Swapping for Quantum Networking

Chao‐Yang Lu, Tao Yang, Jian-Wei Pan

This Letter reports the first experimental demonstration of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) entanglement swapping. We start with three pairs of entangled photons. Upon projection of three single photons, each from an entangled pair, into a GHZ state, the other three originally independent photons are entangled in a GHZ state-creation of multiparticle entanglement without any direct interaction. This scheme may facilitate networks for quantum telephone exchange, multiparty quantum communication and distributed quantum computation.

Quantum secure direct communication by using GHZ states and entanglement swapping

Zhong‐Xiao Man, Yun‐Jie Xia, Nguyen Ba An

We present a three-party quantum secure direct communication protocol by using Greenberg–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states and entanglement swapping. The proposed scheme realizes authorized parties' secure exchange of their respective secret messages simultaneously and directly in a set of devices. We show that the scheme is secure against eavesdropper's commonly used attacks. We also generalize the protocol to the N -party case by using N -partite GHZ states.

Multiple teleportation via partially entangled GHZ state

Pei-Ying Xiong, Xutao Yu, Hai-Tao Zhan +1 more

Quantum teleportation is important for quantum communication. We propose a protocol that uses a partially entangled Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state for single hop teleportation. Quantum teleportation will succeed if the sender makes a Bell state measurement, and the receiver performs the Hadamard gate operation, applies appropriate Pauli operators, introduces an auxiliary particle, and applies the corresponding unitary matrix to recover the transmitted state. We also present a protocol to realize multiple teleportation of partially entangled GHZ state without an auxiliary particle. We show that the success probability of the teleportation is always 0 when the number of teleportations is odd. In order to improve the success probability of a multihop, we introduce the method used in our single hop teleportation, thus proposing a multiple teleportation protocol using auxiliary particles and a unitary matrix. The final success probability is shown to be improved significantly for the method without auxiliary particles for both an odd or even number of teleportations.

Generating large-scale Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-like states in lattice spin systems

Xuanchen Zhang, Yaofeng Chen, Yong-Chun Liu

Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state is a typical maximally entangled state which is pursued in both fundamental research and emerging quantum technologies. Preparing large-scale GHZ states in lattice spin systems is particularly appealing for quantum advantages, but conventional schemes face great challenges in scalability. Here we propose a universal and scalable scheme to generate large-scale GHZ-like states, which share similar entanglement and metrological properties with standard GHZ states, in lattice spin systems through global Floquet engineering. Our scheme requires only global operations and shows great advantage for large particle number. It is applicable to systems with arbitrary interaction ranges, offering a practical pathway for large-scale implementation of many-body entangled states in various systems.

Teleportation of an n -bit one-photon and vacuum entangled GHZ cavity-field state

Lai Zhen-jiang, Fan Feng-Guo, Zhu Gang-Yi +1 more

A scheme for teleporting an arbitrary n -bit one-photon and vacuum entangled Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state is proposed. In this scheme, the maximum entanglement GHZ state is used as a quantum channel. We find a method of distinguishing four Bell states just by detecting the atomic states three times, which is irrelevant to the qubit number of the state to be teleported.
