USSFT Paper II: Derivation of the Born Rule from Multiplicity and the Probabilistic Bias Functional

Leonardo Diaz

This paper presents the USSFT explanation of the double-slit experiment, the Born Rule, and quantum interference. Within the Unified Space-Time and Scale-Dependent Field Theory (USSFT), interference arises not from wavefunction ambiguity but from the structure of Multiplicity in the U-field. When a particle faces two possible paths, the surrounding U-field reorganizes into a distribution of micro-configurations whose P-bias determines the most probable detection pattern. The paper introduces an intuitive “concert-crowd two-exits” analogy to illustrate how probability amplitudes combine and why interference disappears when path information is measured. This work forms Paper II of the five-part USSFT series, establishing the entropic and statistical foundations of quantum behavior.
