Abstract

We investigate the quantum entanglement in a system of two moving atoms interacting with a single mode field. An analytical solution for this system is obtained when both atoms are initially in the excited state and the field is in a coherent state. We study the effects of atomic motion and other parameters on the entanglement of the system and different bipartite partitions of the system (field–two atoms, atom–(field+atom)) through the tangles. The effect of atomic motion on the amount of entanglement between atoms and the field is also evaluated through the negativity. The results show that atomic motion leads to the periodic death and anabiosis of the entanglement between two moving atoms, and the time of the death and the amplitude of the anabiosis of the entanglement between two moving atoms depend on the coupling constant of two moving atoms and the parameter of the mode field.

Quantum entanglement of the coherent field interacting with the moving atom being in a mixed state

Hong Li

Using the negative entropy method, the quantum entanglement character of the system of the coherent optical field interacting with the moving atom is studied. The influences of the atomic initial state, the field-mode structure parameter, the average photon number of the coherent field, the detuning, and the transition photon number on the entanglement character of the system are discussed. The result shows that the value of the entanglement degree of the system appears regular evolution and entanglement sudden death phenomenon(ESD)when the atomic motion is considered. When the atomic initial state tends to pure state, the entanglement degree of the system is larger relatively. With the increase of the average photon number of the coherent field, the value of the entanglement degree of the system becomes small, but the period for the regular evolution is almost unchanged. With the increase of the transition photon number, the value of the entanglement degree of the system becomes larger, the period of the oscillation becomes shorter, meanwhile the oscillation of the system becomes faster and faster. With the detuning increasing, the entanglement becomes small.

The entanglement of two moving atoms interacting with a single-mode field via a three-photon process

Chao Wu, Mao-Fa Fang

In this paper, the entanglement of two moving atoms induced by a single-mode field via a three-photon process is investigated. It is shown that the entanglement is dependent on the category of the field, the average photon number N , the number p of half-wave lengths of the field mode and the atomic initial state. Also, the sudden death and the sudden birth of the entanglement are detected in this model and the results show that the existence of the sudden death and the sudden birth depends on the parameter and the category of the mode field. In addition, the three-photon process is a higher order nonlinear process.

Yang Rui-fang

The quantum entanglement properties of the two-mode squeezing vacuum field interacting with the atomic motion via two-photon transition were studied based on quantum theory. The influences of atomic motion and the field structure on the quantum entanglement were investigated as the initial state of atom is in the excited state. The results showed that the degree of entanglement between two mode vacuum fields is influenced by the values of velocity of the atomic motion and the structure of the field-mode,but the periodic evolution of the entanglement properties cannot be destroyed.

Preparation and control of entangled states in the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving atom via two-photon process

Xiaojuan Liu, Bingju Zhou, Liu Ming-Wei +1 more

We investigate the preparation and the control of entangled states in a system with the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving two-level atom via the two-photon transition. We discuss entanglement properties between the two-mode coherent fields and a moving two-level atom by using the quantum reduced entropy, and those between the two-mode coherent fields by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, we examine the influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter p on the quantum entanglement of the system. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system.

Effects of Atomic Initial State and Coupling Intensity on Entanglement of the Quantum System

Zou Shi-qia

In the system of two coupling two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode field, effects of atomic initial state and coupling intensity on the entanglement of the quantum system are investigated by the method of negative eigenvalue of the partial transposition matrix. The results demonstrate that the entanglement between the two atoms shows a periodical oscillation, that the entanglement time between the atoms becomes longer and its amplitude becomes larger with increasing atomic initial stateθ,and that the entanglement periodicity between the atoms becomes larger and the subwave diminishes with increasing atomic coupling intensity.
